What happened::
I was scammed by a user IceTurk for 12.5$ . Can't believe people get to such low levels to scam.
I posted this thread in the Currency Exchange section of the forum looking to buy WMZ for BTC.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=872465.0
I was contacted by this user IceTurk who offered to sell 60$ WMZ for 50$ worth of BTC.  However, I had just around 25$ on me, so he agreed to 30$ WMZ for 25$ BTC. Since, it was a small amount, I didn't do an escrow, but asked him to trade it in 2 payments of 12.5$ each.

I went ahead and sent 12.5$ worth BTC to him: https://blockchain.info/tx/319650c079d32961b78eb3d35af3faa02d90130afd918aceb3a6bc872c6e21c2
to his address: 1KniddNr3H3KH9NAEgo3HYWRTRZ48N5HZa

But after that he replied to none of my messages and did not send the WMZ funds. He has been online multiple times, and has even posted in other threads, but has not replied to me, neither has sent any funds.
He has a couple of positive trusts on his profile, because of which I sent him the money first(and it was a small amount anyways) but I soon realized it was a mistake.
Luckily, I insisted on proceeding in 2 transactions .

My BTC for his WMZ

PM/Chat Logs:

Inbox: http://postimg.org/image/m8ljspvyn/    -   Basically, he agreed on the deal, and I sent him the money
Outbox: http://postimg.org/image/aek04mcxl/   -  txid posted, and I sent him various messages, but he has not replied to any

Additional Notes:

I would request a trusted member of this community to leave him a negative trust to make others aware about him.
Here are couple of other threads by the same user where he is selling Hero Account / Keys/Amazon gift cards.
Here is his IP : 81.157.157.94 I would request mods to ban all accounts with that IP, to prevent future inconvenience to other users.  He also claims to have a Hero Member account.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Wow, he must be a peasant in real life to hijack someone for $12.50.
Cold world...isn't it?
Well, I never understand what kind of mentality these people have.
Also just to point out: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=394683  is definitely an alt of IceTurk (has the same btc address on his profile as the one IceTurk requested payment on)
So is this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=395418 newbie, giving positive trust to IceTurk on a 4 btc deal. Both are online at similar time zones.

The reason I mentioned his IP, is to get a Mod to ban all accounts on that IP. Its because, its easy to create multiple sleeper accounts and using them 3-4 months down the line in scamming when they are of a higher membership status.

He has scammed multiple times. If you look he locked a thread that someone claimed that he scams them in.
Someone please leave negative trust for this user that is TRUSTED, this is just bullshit how scammers continue to scam cause no one trusted posts a negative.

$12.5 dont will make your life better or worst... if the reputation of that user was valued at that $12.5 its sad.  Undecided

I hope that user think about it 2 times and send the bitcoins back.

Some/many escrows will not be willing to escrow for such a small amount of money and/or may not be as quick to respond for a very small amount of a deal. IceTurk probably took advantage of this by suggesting that the deal take place outside of escrow when they probably contacted at least one escrow with no response.

Just realized where he picked that from Smiley
Also, I don't think that is the reason. I tracked his IP and posted it above. Its an IP based in UK. He has also requested to buy amazon UK gift cards before, which confirms that.
Regarding, the fact that people earning less, are more like to scam. Thats not at all true Smiley A lot of countries have people earning much less than that, and they don't go to the internet to scam people because life isn't fair for them.

Just got contacted by this user: trademe https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=405348
He just created a new account today, and asked me to send him 18$ for 20 WMZ, through message.

i can pay you 20wmz for $18 btc if you are ready to trade with, send btc at 1DeXAGj6HHRtwjdzvmYxkACsD1JUiAZHxc
thanks.

I told him that I wont send first to a brand new account.
To which he replied: " its your own choice iam here new and want to do trade..."

I am guessing he would try to scam other members too.

Redsn0w, is himself an escrow and he can do such escrows very easily.
I dont think that most of the escrows would have any problem in doing this job, it doesnt matter if its small, its safety of the people that matters.

Ever been in Turkey?
what IceTurk did is wrong but what you think/blame about Turkish people is also wrong.
neither 90% of people is working for 350 $ nor 12.5$ will help those people who earns 350$.
just to give you an idea I'm an average engineer and has a salary of 3000$/month.
Dont forget, every country has good guys and bad guys...
