Did I procrastinate and miss the bandwagon? Would it be a mistake to invest at this point or should I jump on it? All opinions are welcome!

Would you trust 2-3 people with the distribution of 90% of the XRP? If you have faith that they'll distribute it fairly and generally do the right thing, then by all means, buy it up. https://www.ripplelabs.com/xrp-distribution/

I just noticed that they are gaining some momentum lately and wouldn't mind making a few bucks.

Ripple has only increased less than 2x since April. The reason the capitalization is going up is because Gliss is incorrectly listing their available supply.

There ain't no Revolution like a NEMolution. The only solution is Bitcoin's dissolution! NEM!

Laws and common sense prevent the Ripple founders from dumping their allocated XRP, nothing stops Satoshi (since you have no idea who or what he represents - NSA? African drug lord? etc).

As you tend to delete your posts, here's the answer to another, similar post by you that I wrote yesterday:

If you have some spare money maybe it worth to invest some, but I wouldn't expect too much short term profit on it.

that's a problem of bitcoin, but the conclusion to buy ripple because of that is utter bullshit

Well, I tried to answer Ripple related questions here from time to time, you need a lot of patience and thick skin for that stuff though. I am neither a fan of XRP nor STR, also I do not agree that "Ripple was dead for 1 year", but it definitely was not discussed a lot around here while other decentralized market solutions (Ethereum, NXT, OpenBazaar, whatever NEM actually is...) were usually discussed more. As I can predict answers fairly well when just daring to mention "Ripple", I gave up on that after some time and decided to go for a more passive approach trying to provide at least some info in threads that are usually overrun quickly by trolls.
Also, while Ripple Labs initially tried to market Ripple as the ideal Bitcoin exchange (which it is, imho), the seem to have moved away from the hostility around here and rather target institutions that are more concerned with moving and exchanging money.
Edit: It really seems like a hard to grasp concept around here that there might be cryptocurrency based solutions out there, that are not first and foremost concerned with how much their internal token is valued and tradeable against BTC.

Yeah, it's not ppl like you that are... difficult. I did/do the exact same thing - got some XRP for free in giveaways, try to work with the tech + understand it better and be happy if my free XRP go up or go down - as long as they are > 0, I got something for free.

Satoshi owns possibly 7% of all the BTC mined so far and less than 5% of the total. Chris Larsen, Arthur Britto and Jed McCaleb still control (mostly Larsen) control over 90% of XRP. Really poor comparison - nice try though!

As this is the altcoin forum, and not the trustless altcoin forum, I can't see your point. As in the name Alt= Alternative, Coin=payment token. You understood that?
I'd rather trust somebody, than trust a trustless system which delivers proof of its inadequacy as a currency, on every aspect, on a regular basis. We've seen hundreds of millions of worth disappear, not once, but every week something happens to your freak show.

I can not give more information, but reason is Wolong's team and last warriors. We have buy in last ~6 months. Power is huge. Stellar and Ripple, both under attack. I hope foundations stop it, for Ripple I know that is possible and they can save all crypto investors moneys now and in future... If 'we' get this moneys we can destroy next even bitcoin. There is still enough time to kill him and 'us'.. I will die for this, but I've been waiting this moment really long.
