Yup, you can. If the wallet stills in sync it only means that you're not seeing the lastest things from the blockchain, which means even after you buy the BTC you will not see that you received (And you posted in the wrong section of the forum)

Yes, your money will be there when your wallet fully syncs, though I'd suggest getting a lite client so you don't have to download the entire blockchain. You can transfer the wallet.dat over and recieve or send your coins straight away.

Can you give me your suggested lite wallet? Thanks! Use https://blockchain.info/ if you want an online one or multibit if you want a lite, downloadable one!

Can you give me your suggested lite wallet? Thanks! For me, it has to be Electrum for sure. It is easy to use, and more importantly it is a deterministic wallet meaning that you don't need to make a new backup after creating some new receiving addresses in your wallet.

Can you give me your suggested lite wallet? Thanks! Check out one of the ones mentioned above. Electrum or Multibit for a desktop wallet or blockchain.info for a web wallet (but remember to set up all the security features ie - 2-factor and second password etc).

Don't download programs from people advertised on here then, especially if they're from newbs. You can download the clients from their respective websites.

It's just free virus protection, if you're gonna download stuff that may have viruses you'll need it... you never want your wallet to become corrupted.

You can buy bitcoin without the wallet done sync but you will never see your real balance. I suggest you put your bitcoin temporarily on exchanges and put them in your offline wallet once it is done syncing.

Yes, you can buy Bitcoin even if your wallet isn't syncronized. But the Bitcoins you buy won't be displayed immediately on your wallet. Don't worry. Your Bitcoins will result into your wallet as soon as you complete the syncronization ( it depends on your speed connection ).

Before the sync is done, he can check his address balance using block explorers such as blockchain.info and blockr.io.

If you buy it and send it to your address when your wallet hasn't synced, it simply won't appear in your balance. You can buy whenever. You can always check up on your address on ye block chain
