Can someone help me setup my S3 to mine through my laptop's wifi?  I can't leave my miner connected to the router because it's too loud.  Is there a way that I can use my laptop's wifi in a different room?

Instead of using a laptop for wifi full time i suggest looking at wireless routers with a client bridge mode.   For under 20 bucks you can get wireless on the 4 or so wired connecters from back of bridge router.

It depends on model. Look up model  and see if it has a bridge mode.   If not there is openwrt (modded firmware) you might check to see if it can use which has bridge mode.
