Hello i figured out people maybe having many problems with paypal and Bitcoins exchange so i started this thread with some points which may ave you from being scammed Smiley

1) First try to deal with only trusted people
2) Check their reputation about how much was the biggest deal
4) Ask the user to open dispute and close it ( un-authorized transaction dispute ) but this may get your account under review .

Main thing is " If a deal seems to be more than fair think twice because it may let you loose your money in the end "

Maybe this thread is of no use to many people but if this thread saved 1 person its more than enough Smiley

3) Ask the person to send as Personal/Gift because gifts cant be charged back FALSE
4) Ask the user to open dispute and close it ( un-authorized transaction dispute ) Sure i f you want to risk having your account reviewed and potentially locked or closed.

You really need to edit your post for accuracy.

When the subject of buying BTC with Paypal comes up, I often remember this:

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

See gifts cant be charged back unless done as un-authorized

When our Paypal account is proper and legal we don't worry about being reviewed Smiley

And a scammer would have a hard time using a VPN to claim this? It happens all the time. Edit your post please, it is inaccurate.
Edit: Anyone using the dispute method on a regular basis will trigger a review, legal account or not.

Thanks. Your best bet is using 1 and 2 and a lot of caution.

Getting on this forum and trying to get bitcoin is a nightmare. I found that main problem is not paypal and not paypal being all reversible. The main problem is with people accepting paypal for bitcoin. I've tried 4 different people on this forum. two newbies and two members. They accepted paypal and didnt send bitcoin as agreed. WOW right? Its very surprising how resourceful scamers are these days. Long story short - you cant be safe if you deal with scum. They will find a way to reverse money or if you buy using paypal it will be almost impossible to get your money back because paypal wont return it. They see it was you who paid. My advice is not to rush anything when it comes to money decisions.

I keep saying that using escrow with paypal is useless and no escrow will accept that. any paypal transaction your at your own risk. you just need to raise unauthorized transaction dispute if you know how to do it, or call paypal and they will surely do something depending on your country. When dealing with paypal use a trusted company service you know that serves customers from more than 5 countries then your sure who you are dealing with. Sorry for the loss you have incurred. you just have to be careful.
