CGminer documentation lists 5 Multipool strategies, Rotate being one of them. I was wondering if both rotate and load balance can be used in conjunction. Add a rotate option:
Code:
--rotate <arg>
and change multipool strategy from failover to regularly rotate at N minutes. The question is whether, we can set two pools with 80%/20% load balancing, rotating between themselves, or just use
Code:
--rotate <arg>
to rotate between idle pools.

No, you can only use one strategy at a time.

Why would you want to though?

And why aren't you posting in the CGMiner thead?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.0

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?
