Hi guys, I used to mine btc a couple years back with my radeon cards, but that got old quick, so I decided to take a plunge for the back Friday sales. I decided to pick this baby up   "BitCrane T-110S 1 Th/s Ultra-Silent BitCoin Mining System"

So it does 1Th/s. How long would it take to mine 1 single BTC (in a decent pool, I need some help with this though, can somoene point me in the right direction with a good pool? Thanks!)?

Im basically just looking for some basic info about it, as I've been out of the business for a while... Thanks fellas!

And also, did I make a good purchase or was this a stupid waste? haha Tongue

Well I really liked that one because it says its really easy to configure, and Idk other ones seem kinda complicated (from what I hear)

I also like that it comes with its own power supply, once you buy a power supply the one you linked costs a bit more.

It's the best value for money "today". You can also underclock and prolong it's life when competing with the new tech. Nothing is in it's league "in stock" for power to GH. Cost with specials is now comparable to competition.

all of sp-tech miners are user-friendly and configurable.

So, here's what you need to consider.

Price per GH
Watts per GH
Resale value.

I have been mining with SP-Tech equipment since SP10 (bought in March) and I am STILL running those SP10, alongwith my other SP-Tech miners.

I have found that the customisability of the miner (downclocking) is second to none. I am running each of my old SP10 at max 833watts and getting 1.2TH/s

That is still a profitable miner - EIGHT months from the date I received them. Of course, they have paid me back the purchase price long ago.

I'm now mining with the SP20 and I am underclocking these also;

745watts mining at > 1.35TH/s - i worked out that these will still mine profitable right up until difficulty hits 100billion.

If I were to sell on my old SP10's I'd easily get a decent price for them.
Spondoolies, somehow have created the most efficient, most stable and most trustworthy miners, ever.

If you want to test the stability on any pool, you can rent my SP10's or my SP20 here;

https://www.betarigs.com/user/raskul

i'd advise you contact sales@spondoolies-tech.com if you are looking to make a bulk purchase and find out if they might do a bulk discount for you.
They might give you a discount code that you can use to purchase from their website.

please use my affiliate link to buy when you do, and help a fellow miner  Smiley

thanks.

This statement is only true to those who can predict the future, and that future shows it to be so.

I also buy coins but i can't see the future.
Mining is slightly more fun than buying.

Look at SP20 or bitmain products.  Either way you cannot go wrong.   Both easy to configure, and I would say much easier then GPU mining days you mention.  I was always having to tinker with GPUs long ago, a lot of these you can set and forget.

+1
that's about the size of it currently. i run miners from both companies. quite happy with both.

for a pool, i mine DGM and would recommend www.mmpool.org - we could use more miners - being honest  Undecided

in addition, noise is an issue for a lot of people. The SP20 is louder than an S3+ or an S4.

regarding resale - Bitmain products generally have the best value as they are very home user friendly - even S1 units can still sell locally for $40-70 each. Spondoolies gear is sometimes a harder sell.

not sure why you underclock the SP20 - do you pay >$0.20/kwh for power? Most calculations show you will make more in the next month at 1.7TH/1100W then you will by massively sacrificing hashrate to save some electricity.

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461
No longer a wannabe - now an ASIC owner!

yes my electric is 11.4p / kWh  - quite expensive, however, the only reason i underclock the SP20 is indeed, the fan noise. I have it situated in the room adjacent to my living room and at fan speed 40 it's ok. if I put it out in the garage, i'd probably have it running on turbo but for the winter, it's also saving me in heating bills - i don't have my central heating on and that single SP20 is giving a cosy warmth to the entire downstairs of my flat.

I have free electricity, so it really seemed like a good idea to me lol.

I also have free power and the best method is to buy used...even then you will not make a huge profit these days.

Your best bet is used S3's for sure...the SP stuff is nice, but pricey.

yes  if your power is free buy used. from a guy like me.

if you are like me and your power is costly buy the best low power gear you can get.   today  that = sp20's

then sell your power hungry gear to a guy like Blazedout419  .  I have sold used gear to blazedout419 twice

first time was s-1's and I purchased s-3's (june 2014)  I had almost broke even  with 3 s-1's the sale put me over the top

second time was s-3's and I purchased sp20's (nov 2014) I had almost broke even with 3 s-3's the sale put me over the top

third time will be the sp20's and I will purchase whatever is more efficient. (april 2015?) time will tell
