Hello all,

Bitcoin Spinner (the greatest Android Bitcoin client in existence) has now integrated BitInstant (the greatest way to buy Bitcoins) fully into the mobile app.

Version 0.6.0b:
-Added 'Buy Coins' option that integrates with BitInstant
-Now also accepts the (wrong) Bitcoin URI used by Blockain's iPhone app.
-Minor UI tweaking to optimize for small displays
-Fixed minor typos in Danish and Finnish translation
-Added reference to source used for currency conversion (MtGox)

Now, using your mobile phone, you can go buy Bitcoins with cash at hundreds of thousands of locations in US, Brazil, and Russia. No computer needed – you can do it all from inside the store location itself!

Download Bitcoin Spinner here

Step 1: Click the menu, then “Buy Coins” button

Step 2: Enter the amount of cash you will deposit

Step 3: Select your deposit location

Step 4: Confirm the location and amount details, then an invoice is sent to you

Step 5: Take the invoice (in your email) to the location and deposit cash in the account number shown to you.

Take your receipt, and you’re done! The coins will be sent to your BitcoinSpinner wallet (typically within 30 minutes)!

This is great.  Several times I drove by the bank and looked in my wallet and found money, and said to myself "I can buy bitcoins with this, but I need to go home first". Well not anymore.  I can pull into the bank parking lot, type away on my phone, and walk in with my cash.  Nice job guys!

Kudos to the BitInstant team for making this possible! I just did a little integration work with BitcoinSpinner, they are the real heroes.

I must say that I felt like a small kid at Christmas when I went down to the local bank the other day to test this new feature. And... Lo and behold, after 30 minutes I had my present, 15 shiny bitcoins directly into the wallet on my phone. No paper, no computer, no ID. Just cash and my phone.

I highly recommend everyone try this out once, with just $20, to see how awesome and easy it is. I think many people have not come to realize how easy obtaining Bitcoins is getting.

When cash deposits came out, you no longer needed to wire money.
When Coinapult came out, you no longer needed to use an exchange.
And now with mobile integration, you no longer need even a computer!

Go try it, it'll help you explain how easy it is to others when they ask how to buy bitcoins.

Aren't the prices quoted above a little disingenuous? As I understand it, you charge your 4% plus the $1 or so that trustcash charges you, for something like $105 total instead of $102.xx as in the trustcash invoice above. Also, we enter USD, which rate is used for the exchange? Ask on MtGox?

I'm selling great Minion Games like The Manhattan Project, Kingdom of Solomon and Venture Forth at 4% off retail starting June 2012. PM me or go to my thread in the Marketplace if you're interested.

For Settlers/Dominion/Carcassone etc., I do email gift cards on Amazon for a 5% fee. PM if you're interested.

I don't see any prices quoted above, just screenshots. Nothing in them led me to make any assumptions about fee structures.

If you think the prices are too high, you're welcome to compete with your own product. That's what determines the market value of a service.
