Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable. I never believe them. If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins. I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion. Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice. Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

This is like a crazy flashback to the 90's when I found a local retailer that sold 2600. Unfortunately, book stores aren't what they once were, so this might be like your funds finally hitting MtGox right before the bubble pops In any case, best of luck.

Thanks everyone. Feels good to finally shut the trolls up. Sorry about that. I need to build up the presence of the /r/BitcoinMagazine subreddit for a while before we completely stop posting in /r/Bitcoin altogether. I imagine the hard part is staying there. A few months ago I saw that some stores in the UK stopped stocking Linux magazines
I believe so as well. Exposure is worth a lot but even the best magazines can only survive on shelves if people walk over to the magazine section, browse, read, and then buy it. We might need to buy all our own issues back from them to keep them there. LOL

Matt, this is fantastic…I also just wanted to say how great the magazine turned out. I can only imagine how much hard work went into it. I hope you guys pick a sustainable pace to produce them…a lot of successful magazines started out as quarterlies…hitting deadlines every 4 weeks is a breakneck pace for a small team. Anyway, keep up the great work…and I can tell you this is a great marketing tool for bitcoin businesses.

yeah I saw the magazine too. It was really nicely done.
It would be good to see more things focusing on the social aspect and talking about things outside bitcoin but related to it in the free culture and hacker movements. Things like the free wifi (how bitcoin can fund meshnets), tech for circumventing kettling by police .etc

The first issue was a rush job, no other way to describe it. It hit a lot of marks but missed a few too. As each issue progresses, we notice the need to branch out in specific fields. We also have 12 writers now instead of just 2 as was true in the beginning and an Editorial Board that includes even Jon Matonis, so the future is pretty much brighter from this point on. For yourself and anyone else, if you have any suggestions for specific stories, or even recommendations for direction, just shoot your message on over to editorial@bitcoinmagazine.co.uk and our writer's group as well as Board of Directors will all have an equal chance to look it over. Thanks again for the encouragement and support. Thanks everyone. Feels good to finally shut the trolls up.
I STILL HAVENT RECEIVED MY F'$§%&*§!!! MAGAZINE!! Please email info@bitcoinmagazine.co.uk for information on your order if you believe there is something wrong with your shipment. Don't forget to include your receipt so that we can discuss your purchase with you. Thanks! so when can we expect to see it in B&N's stores here in the US?
Please read the article in the OP for information about making sure it gets into your local B&N branch.

I've seen a lot of enthusiast magazines come and go in technology fields. I hope Bitcoin Magazine tries to get away from a technology focus. This magazine has the potential to change the nature of financial publications.

Sadly, you'll have to stop at three different B&N's to get one.
