Layman here.  I got btcd up and running two weeks ago on a Windows machine.  But I have a couple of basic questions.. and I can't find any new topics here (or on reddit), and no one in older topics is responding to my questions, even by PM.  Has the project died and everyone just quietly left the cemetery?

Last update was a few days ago: https://github.com/conformal

Try their IRC channel, I had good luck getting support there.

Thanks, Newar.  IRC is a little above my pay grade.  I'm just a Grade Two techie.  Thanks, anyway.

IRC is really not as scary as it seems.

I have never used IRC.  I use Firefox.  I installed the ChatZilla Firefox extension.  I was using the btcd IRC channel in minutes.

Conformal isn't the only company developing btcd, by the way.

Monetas is using btcd exclusively on the server side of our products and we're adding a significant number of new features to btcwallet as part of that process.

Is there no main community thread on the development of this? Is everything important on IRC?

There is a thread somewhere, yes; but it's completely abandoned.  I tried repeatedly to get some help there.. and waited for days.  Nothing.  There is on IRC.
