Is bitcoin illegal in Thailand?> I am here now and just concerned with using/ promoting cryptos?
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Your good to mine, just no exporting or importing.  Here is the word from wiki.

In July 2013, Bitcoin Company Limited said it had given a presentation to the Bank of Thailand about how the currency works in a bid to operate in the country. At the end of the meeting, "senior members of the Foreign Exchange Administration and Policy Department advised that due to lack of existing applicable laws, capital controls and the fact that bitcoin straddles multiple financial facets... bitcoin activities are illegal in Thailand". The ruling means it is illegal to buy and sell bitcoins, buy or sell any goods or services in exchange for bitcoins, send any bitcoins to anyone outside of Thailand, or receive bitcoins from anyone outside the country.[78] However, since February 15, 2014, according to a letter from the Bank of Thailand, the current situation is that bitcoin can be traded in Thailand so long as it’s only converted to/from Thai baht.[79] So bitcoin cannot be used as a way of converting foreign currencies in the nation. Bank of Thailand says it has no plans to expand the laws to regulate bitcoin.[79]

As he already quoted here it is legal and not regulated by the goverment. You can buy and sell on BX.in.th or Coins.in.th both of which are active trading and buying/selling sites here in Thailand.  Cheesy

I think bitcoin is very legal in Thailand. If you can get someone to accept it, then probably they would know if its legal or not.
Accepting means probably legal.
That bar also points to show that it is legal.

Op I will clarify everything for you. Currently Thailand is completely open to bitcoin, you are free to have, sell and buy bitcoins as you with. There are not specific regulations as of yet made. But if you want to open Bitcoin related business you still may want to register your company as you would normally do.

Despite the general consensus in this thread seeming to be that Bitcoin is legal in Thailand, Wikipedia gives conflicting statements as to whether or not it is illegal there and so the question still remains. It could be the case that it is "officially" illegal but is otherwise tolerated to the point where it is de facto legal:

Quote
It is illegal in: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ecuador, Iceland, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Thailand, and Vietnam...

...Bank of Thailand declared bitcoin illegal in 2013, but bitcoin companies have been able to obtain business licenses.

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country

The BTC price hardly moved* throughout the entirety of 2012. It went from just over $5 in January 2012 to barely $13 by December 2012. Someone who either mined or bought any significant amount of BTC during this time would have made an enormous return on their investment. I would say that the period where significant profits could be made was over by mid to late 2013 assuming that they sold their coins in the months following the November spike.

Is bitcoin illegal in Thailand?> I am here now and just concerned with using/ promoting cryptos?

Thailand has no laws against Bitcoin. You may trade bitcoin comfortably against Thai Baht and different Alt Coins on www.100bit.co.in.
