Alt coin giveaways are against forum rules. I think admins take it on a case to case basis, so i think OP may be safe. I wish alt coin giveaways were allowed though, seeing that people launch everything on this forum. Need to have a re-look at the rules imho.

I would love to create giveaway threads for alt coins too

I think the reason why alt coin giveaways aren't allowed is because alt coins would just be spammed on a bitcoin forum. Also, alt coins are bad for bitcoin, because the more alt coins, the slower we are to using just bitcoin on the internet.

I don't think he is banned yet as he did log in today. Most people don't read rules because they are not stickied, and there is not a sheet of official rules. The mods should sticky "the unofficial official rules of bitcointalk" thread in my opinion.

Maybe you should change the title of the post to "Mods Please Delete" or something similar so they know that this thread is marked for deletion. Also maybe a good idea to lock the thread now so no more posts can be updated. Good Luck in your endeavors!
