5x 5770s will give you more MH/s than 2x 5870s, but require more PCIe slots, PSUs, harder to manage, etc. Some consider it worth it, others would prefer fewer, faster cards. |

Yes, I need more raw MH, I'm moving to all 5770s and I want resale value to relatively stay the same... i.e. if a 5770 is worth $50-$60 today, it will probably still be worth roughly $50 in a year, but a 5870 is worth $175 now but will probably be worth $100 in a year. That's an assumption on my part.

I have a bunch of 5830's I'm looking to upgrade, and 5830's are essentially the same as 6870's in that they both have 1120 shaders and both are VLIW5. They also over/under-clock/volt. I'd just need to dust them off and pack em up, since they run outside and get a thin film of pollen on them. None of the fans are vibrating/buzzing and the cards are 100% operational. Interested?
