Payments to Cryptsy are connected with a high risk. I wait more than one week for my XRP, no solution and they do not reply. I need a statement and a deadline, but they do not anything. And then they require 0.2% for a Transfer, the ripple Network requires only 0.0120XRP . I am very disappointed.

I am waiting on several thousands of XRP to both leave and enter my account. Oh and 10k Opal to arrive... been 2 hours and I did not close my wallet or transpose numbers or letters of the destination address. Ticket filed Dec 2nd. Updated today demanding at the minimum an explanation. If not, they're located in Florida, not the worst nation to have an exchange based in.

Common problem with their Ripple Daemon, has to be done manually. Contact paul@c......com and put in the subject line Ripple Daemon is broken and state your case.

Quote
We do apologize for the inconvenience. XRP has been placed ... blablabla ... Sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience.
Everyday the same bullshit and no concrete Statement when the issue is solved. Cryptsy forgett that they have my Money.

They should go to the database and pay simply by hand the money, ready.

They got less than 72 hours to fix the problem or refund at the value in which I transferred out/in at or they lost my business... Thank god it was only around 10k and not something huge.

I've been using Cryptsy for a long time, and their systems are very accurate.  Thing is, it takes lots of time to create and have an accurate trading system.  They are still rapidly growing, and have the associated customer service growing pains. Your issue will be handled, rest assured.

I never think Cryptsy as a scam, they are just an exchange getting their cuts from all transactions. They don't even need to be a scam. On the contrary, I am using Kraken mostly it tastes better

I had no problems in the past with cryptsy besides maybe a delayed payment by 1 day or couple.

But I guess things change, theres other alternative alt coin exchanges that people are on though outside from crytpsy I forget the name..

Yes it varies at times... If you look down their wallet list you will see wallets with a screwdriver/ monkey wrench or whatever it is. They change all the time, one day its these, the other it's those. Except with XRP it;s been 5 days. Just give us what we paid in it/out and let us keep trading, you would still make money. Instead, when discussing it on IRC trollbox in a non derogatory fashion, I was silently banned so that no other user could see. When I get my XRP cryptsy will no longer be a main trading exchange for me unless arbitration opportunities are there or accommodations are made.

There are really not many/any other options to trade altcoins on. IMO cryptsy has built up it's reputation to the point that it is generally considered to be honest and secure.

Most of the other altcoin exchanges are either too new to be trusted, or have such a small user base that there is not sufficient liquidity to trade any meaningful amount on the exchange

But they blocked the coins over many days and weeks. The deposit have already arrived successfully , but will not be credited. You get no Information about a timeline or a Deadline, it is crazy. And then, I belive it is slowly scam. I have no other words in this Situation. They can use a manually payout per hand, but they do nothing.
