It never makes sense to transfer debt from one person to another, especially when it costs you 0.5BTC (around $200)

Just wait a week, pay the debt yourself, and save the interest.

If it makes you feel any better, barely anyone on this forum would be given a 10 btc loan with no collateral, even those who are already very trusted.

Hmmmmmm. "Generous" to lend if they're making a nice profit with the interest or generous because it would end up as a gift (you not repaying)?
