Not to sound rude or shit on your prices but y does it cost the same to ship an sp20 and an sp35?? Isnt the sp20 super micro compared to the sp35?? I would want the spondoolies miners but their price is also pretty high considering they are used but again im not trying to be rude or crap on your thread but i gotta ask.

Of course, you're free to ask. Shipping to US only varies a small amount between the two because its still a hefty brick and the SP20 is surprisingly light. Shipping to EU is a flat rate for up to 25kg so weight doesn't matter.

If you PM me your location I can give you a more accurate quote on shipping as well. I have to be conservative and include the possibility of eastern EU shipping which is significantly more expensive. Don't want to have to revise the price up on anyone.

Why do you collect taxes? As I understand it, these are used units and you're selling
them as a private person, not as a business, right?

Hi, I'm not sure what you're asking?

Why do you collect taxes? As I understand it, these are used units and you're selling
them as a private person, not as a business, right?

I am a VAT registered entity, and as such I have to charge VAT on products sold to consumers in the EU (as would happen from any other store)

So you are offering a guarantee on these units as well? (As you are obliged to if
you sell these as a part of your business activities in the EU, right?)

Warranty (if any) is provided by the manufacturer. Items advertised are used and sold in as is condition, although it doesn't mean I won't help if I can.

This is not true. If you are selling used (but non-defective) items as part of a business activity based in a EU country to
a private customer in another EU country, you are legally obliged to offer a  12-month warranty, i. e. replace
the unit if defective. This law is in place since 2002.
Since June 2014 there is also a law in power by which you are obliged to offer a 14-day right of cancellation.

Do you really force me to find a reference or cite the paragraph for this folklore knowledge?  Huh

No offense, but I don't buy a word of this tax stuff. Either you include a regular invoice from your company (and I bet
you don't because of the implied commitments, e.g. warranty) or you just raise the price by a fantasy tax.

These items are being sold personally as I am not buying to resell, and I am personally VAT registered. Neither the DSRs not the 99/44 directive cover personal sales.

Dogie, this doesn't make sense and we both know it. There is no way a private sale within the EU implies any obligation
to deduct a tax. No need to argue further.. Good luck with your sales and censorship here, I'm out.

I am personally registered for VAT as a sole proprietor, and as such must still collect and pay VAT on any purchase. The amount of people who seem to misunderstand VAT is incredible, it makes no difference to the average consumer if I break down the price with or without VAT - its getting paid either way. What it does allow is those in non-VAT regions or circumstances (EU but not UK VAT registered, or outside EU) to understand that they don't have to pay that tax.

Nothing you have posted has been deleted.

Right, I was referring to that. I also don't want to start a quarrel here for nothing or spoil
your sales, dogie. I just believe that there are seldom good reasons for making a sale thread
self-moderated. And to me it sounds more than fishy how you slap a tax on your private sales.

And as I have the impression you wouldn't be shy in pointing out similar things when other
people sell, I think it's just fair enough if I share my concerns.
