Did a transaction last week, although it was slightly delayed, I got compensated, and communication was excellent! Will use the service in the future if/whenever possible.

Just asking to make sure that I got this right:

If I select Paypal USD
and I put my Paypal email address in the e-mail field,
and the amount in USD that I want to receive (gross, incl. Paypal fees that i might get charged with), then ...

... By sending the specified BTC to the BTC address that I get from your page, the USD amount that I specified will be sent to my Paypal account.

Is that correct?

Sorry for sounding stupid, but it is not clear from the webpage, and since there's money involved, I don't want to mess it up.

Thanks.

Fiat no more.

You've got it exactly right. Our webpage will be updated to be much simpler within the next few weeks. Watch this space. Smiley

Is there a 1BTC fee?

Interesting you should ask that today, as today is the very day we axed that fee.

You can support Spend Bitcoins FEE FREE by always shopping through our links at http://links.spendbitcoins.com (even if you're using government issued money!)

Hi Dusty,

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. We migrated to a new server yesterday in order to finalise as much automating of order fulfilment as we can and we are having some issues both with some ISPs not recognising the site as well as with some email servers rejecting our automated emails. We are working hard to resolve both issues but have had no problems actually receiving bitcoins and fulfilling orders. Hopefully all will be as normal (or better!) within the next few days.

Oh, also, our subdomains are not working which is the problem with http://au.spendbitcoins.com. That's just a subdomain redirect. You can access the actual page at http://spendbitcoins.com/buy.

Thanks!
Jeremy

may I suggest something?
your current website draws the user's attention to the new SpendBitcoin Tool.
when I click on it it says that it is in beta.

even though I used your website in the past, this new layout led me to believe
that your service is now unavailable, and will be unavailable until the new Tool
is publicly released.

I suggest you try to draw the attention of the user to the "want to spend bitcoins right now?"
part, and make the beta tool much smaller.

Thanks for the suggestion Thomas. I'm hoping it will be immaterial very soon as we are coming very close to public release of the tool (of course that's what I thought in February!). At any rate, the first priority is getting these kinks worked out. Once we do, we may look at changing the layout a bit in case it continues to take longer than we expect for release.

My browser recognizes the cert as legit, but why the heck is the server asking me to identify myself with one of my own certificates?

Wow, that's a new one. I've got my tech guys looking at it now.

Has anyone else had this same issue? If so, please post here.

It will probably only show if your browser has personal certificates specifically installed for this purpose (mine allow me to login to my certificate provider). Anyways, it seems to have stopped now.

Hi,
I am interested in a $500 Costco card. Can you please let me know for how long that card is valid? Also I assume it does not need to be used all at one time correct?

Thanks

Hi there,

There is no expiration date and it is just like a prepaid debit card, you can use it as many times as you like. Just to make sure you're aware, though, it only works at Costco in the U.S. as far as I know.

Happy Spending!

I used the Western Union spendbitcoins service and I received my money in the same day, which was great.

However, I was quoted (assuming dollar parity) to get $945.  I only recieved $875.

When I entered my order, I sent over $1000 worth of coins (199.5 @ $5.04).

I'm not sure if it was in error or deliberate, but the fee seems a bit unreasonable.
