Speaking to you now from a red screen Sad Well I'm sure I can tune this thing like a fucking aerial television but I can't help but wonder if there are alternatives out there that are a million times better? Is there anything that works? Or am I doomed to being pissed off as I try to desperately lineup the pins the exact way so it works any time I want to take my computer apart and fix it?

I'm looking at USB powered monitors which would be absolutely amazing but can these things even handle much? Curious to know what my options are.

Well, instead of using these cables...

... you could always just get adapters like these...

... and switch to these cables.

He said that HDMI cables are a problem, he may not have a dvi output.

About that usb powered monitor it will rely on your CPU to process the image instead of GPU. What did you do to that hdmi plug to damage it? I never had such problem, but I rarely unplug things.

I think I found the real culprit, loose ATX connection on the motherboard >_> Tongue wouldn't have guessed lol now I need to figure out which loose connector or forgotten connector has been causing my games to crash because device manager is detecting my graphics card fine.

Well if you're into games, I don't think that a USB monitor is a good aproach. The rate is the basic 60Hz, ok, but the delay is higher even if compared to HDMI IIRC.

Trying to solve your HDMI problem is better, even if time consuming.

amazon and newegg generally have really good prices on gold plated hdmi. if you buy a gold plated hdmi in a store it will be like 45 dollars + and thats for a 4 footer lol. 6 foot would belike 60 bucks. same thing with buying other computer components. a stick of 4 gb super clocked ram on amazon is the same price as a 1 gb super clocked ram at best buy.
