It's great from an adoption standpoint but aren't they just dumping bitcoins on the market as soon as they get them? Meaning that it won't affect the price much if at all.

google or paypal

Why would anyone give money to Google? Their browser and OS suck, their search engine has turned to shit in recent years, and their Android program store is unnecessary. If you need Android programs, just find and download APK files to transfer to your Android device for installation.

Getting a Google account is silly. They want too much information. Anonymity is a basic human right.

I agree. However, Android is pretty cool even though lots about it does suck. Chrome does have amazing security features even though it leaks tons of information, spies on you and it's behavior is wildly unpredictable. The chromebooks, while overpriced do look nice too, the super high res one is pretty goddamn amazing. The search engine has definitely gone downhill recently IMO, but still no other search engine comes close to having as good results.

If you need Android programs, just find and download APK files to transfer to your Android device for installation.

if you manually install the APK, you'll need to manually install future updates for the app. inb4 heartbleed/shellshock 2.0.

Microsoft (and other large companies) accepting bitcoin, creates more sell pressure, thus lowering price.

Anyway, price went up a staggering ... two(?) percent so far on this news. And it's going down ... five percent or more by Saturday.

8% up, to be correct. But I agree, the news was a fart.

thats what ppl dont get, bitcoin needs an INTERNAL economy not paired with USD because most bitcoin will be dumped into fiat by these companies, its the good old USD that they like, I hope not but from previous experiences you are right

And it ain't gonna get there without a gradual transition.

I haven't seen much conclusive evidence of these constant dumps for USD from anyone other than market manipulators, but some short term pain is worth it in the long game.

That their browser sucks, is your opninion, alot of people find chrome the best. Find APK files, surwe, but if you don't know what you're doing, you're device will become infected. I do agree on the anonymity part, but do you actually think they have nothing on you, because you don't use their products? Very naive Wink
