So I have BFL 50gh/s at home mining away on some alt coins. Not really relevant besides I can configure I miner to point to a pool I want.

I have investments at GAW (trying to get out of, seriously terrible decision), CEX.io, Havelock Investments and Hashie.co

Mostly what I wanted to know is I seem to paying cloud mining companies more for electricity then I pay myself at home. 0.07 USD per KW/h. Also I would really like the ability to at least have some control over where my investment is farming and how.

I have about 500.00 USD to get a miner that generates more money then it costs and something that comes as a complete kit (w/o PSU is ok) and that I don't have to rewire any part of my apartment for. As I am not supposed to and dam sure don't want to.

Miners I was looking at, Hopefully you guys have good input for me.

Ideally I would love a scrypt miner to play with.

Ohh and 1 final thing, Something that isn't so loud my wife divorces me over it lol. But seriously. Ideally I would like to purchase it with BTC but I can just convert it to USD if needed.

I just watched a video about ANTMINER C1 Batch 2 and it seems super quite and smaller then I thought. Any ideas? Any concerns with this miner from anyone?

Hardware mining is a losing game. Cloud mining is a double loss, because after it's all said and done you don't even have a paperweight to mount on your wall reminding you "Boy, that sure was dumb. Hopefully won't do anything like that again." People need physical reminders.

Use that money to buy Bitcoins. Put them in cold storage and enjoy peace of mind.
They will remain super quiet too so the Mrs rtm will love it.

Thanks for the encouraging words guys lol. But my investments are making money. It may not be on the road to making me millions but they are generating a profit. So what do you guys think about the https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020141029135048724z39CYwEQ0684 it seems like it would fill all my needs.

Also can you guys confirm that site is not a scammer site. I belive it is the real one but I saw a bunch of people calling bitmaintech scammers on here but i think that's when they were brand new.

Can you confirm that site I am looking at to purchase miners is not a scamming site? That it is the real companies site? Also any idea how long shipping normally takes?

go with the Bitmain S4 - its the most likely to be profitable and has a PSU built in, at a reasonable price if you use a coupon.   At $0.07/kwh you could turn a small profit on it, or at least break even. bitmain takes about 4-6 days from payment to your doorstep with UPS or DHL

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461
No longer a wannabe - now an ASIC owner!

Thank you klon for that information, exactly what I was looking for. The issue with the S4 is I don't have 13k to invest and 1400watts I feel like would pop a fuse in my house but mostly 13k to invest. if it was 700 sure I would try it lol.

My advice is don't invest money before studying the company you are buying from and don't invest money you will need soon. Have fun!

They do have the s4's for $1200, or $800(coupon)+$135 shipping

Operating costs have eating up all 3 of my attempts at cloud mining.

If you are paying 7 cents a KW/hour IMO it does not make sense to cloud mine.

Buy a Bitmain S3 from kijiji.  Or something that has 1w/Ghash or less.  Should not be paying more than 80 cents a Ghash either.

I bought 2.7 TH/s in cloud mining and got the C1 and a PSU as a test run at home. Just because of the water cooling so it is livable to sit next to it.

This is what I bought. https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020141029135048724z39CYwEQ0684

With this PSU.

I am a computer repair tech. So I might of got a bit of overkill for the PSU but the price difference was like 30.00 for the other one I was looking at that was just a tiny bit over the minimum requirements.
