There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Hi everyone, first post here on the forum.

I got that error a bunch of times on a few different machines before getting it to work. What kind of gpu are you using?

I think Nvidia cards require you to download CUDA drivers, AMD or Radeon cards require the AMD App SDK.

Make sure you have the updated drivers or SDK for your card. Also, python 3.2 seemed to help me get GUIminer working. Visual Basic 2o1o (zero key is on the fritz] also might help, as well as java. I also installed Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5. Im still trying to figure out exactly what out of these installs makes my setups work.

EDIT... Be sure to restart your system after installs, Windows likes that.

+1 with latest 11.5, SDK 2.4, SP3, Visual Studio's Redistributable packages, DotNET 2.0 to latest 4.0, pythons and shits like these ...

So switched to 7 and now I'm searching how to network boot it perfectly
