Hi guys I want to start a topic about Bitcoin and Belief Systems.

I think Bitcoin is like Deism.

Deist people believes that there's a creator of universe but he doesn't care about it, left it own by itself.

Bitcoin is created by Satoshi Nakamoto and left it own by itself.

So what's your opinion about that?

Hehe Two years later lol

Tablets were a little dusty.

Don't worry, guys - I got this:

 Cool Cool Cool

Our Satoshi, who art in blockchain,
Encrypted be thy name
Thy transactions come
Thy will be done on ASICS
As it is on Github.
Give us this day our daily mining reward,
And forgive our zero-conf double-spends
As we forgive them that double-spend against us.
And lead us not into alt-chains
But deliver us from Ripple
For thine is the mining rig,
The hashing power, and the block reward,
For ever and ever
Amen.

When he reveals himself we may see some miracles and this belief system turns into a religion. Because we've seen miracles by our god Grin

Also it'll not be called deism anymore, it'll be theism Grin

I think Bitcoin is like Deism.

Agree, i really think that everyone into the world of BTC just "want to beleive" on it, well, nobody know what will happend, so everybody just sit down and think that everything will go well with bitcoin.

this is like deism? i dont know, but is closed to it for sure Wink

The creator has not left us to fend for ourselves.
He will reveal himself when the time is right.

My own opinion is that he is doing well, maybe, just maybe is better to stay like now, anonymous.

Bitcoin is not a belief system. It's a peer-to-peer electronic cash system.

This is why I've used the word "like". Do you know what it means?
It means similar "not exact". No one told that bitcoin is a belief system...

Bitcoin is still essentially what it was from the beginning, with a few enhancements and bug fixes.

I mean: Satoshi would not like mining to be completely centralized in the hand of few pools.

Do you remember him expressing against GPU mining? Can'timagine what he thinks of ASICS...

Perhaps the son of Satoshi will came on the earth one day

No point for him to reveal, he had a genius moment no denying but what would we learn from him if he were to tell his story now?  The baton has been passed.
