What is a good bitcoin wallet software to use that's light weight and not going to take up 20GB of space and  I can import my BTC wallets into it using import privkey.

Anyone got any good recommendations on what one to use other than to use an online wallet lick blockchain.

Electrum is great, I use it primarily on Litecoin, but I'm sure their Bitcoin version works great too. No blockchain download, standard Windows, Mac and Linux binaries.

Have been looking at Electrum but wasnt sure if to use or not lol. Keep thinking to use it but then again still unsure but maybe I will use it and give it a try out and see how it works on Windows and go from their.

I'd say electrum too, I think it's really small and works really well.

I am using MultiBit; it's fast and lightweight. Also since it downloads the block header only, syncing is very fast.

You can also import private keys easily.

You aren't really risking security. The worst they can do is show you fake transactions. They CAN'T modify your transactions, they CAN'T steal your coins, they can only make it APPEAR (but not legitimately in the blockchain) that you have a balance which you don't have, or that you have sent coins which you haven't.

good thing about open source programs is that you can check the codes and see if there is no foul play in it, or if you don't know anything about coding, you can search social networks like here, reddit, or github and be sure that a famous application like Electrum or Multibit will have some people who checked the code before

and also it is not "a little less downloading" it is the difference between 25 gigabytes of data and 30 megabytes both downloading and having enough disk space for it

The worst they can do is show you fake transactions.

No they can't show you fake transactions.
Electrum is a SPV wallet, so it verifies that confirmed transactions are in the Bitcoin blockchain.
The fact that blockchain information is served by Electrum servers does not reduce security over other sPV clients.
