Electrum was finally ported for Dogecoin Smiley

https://electrum-doge.com

Electrum-Doge was born as a fork of the Electrum Bitcoin wallet.

It is a lightweight wallet that only downloads block headers instead of the whole blockchain which makes it faster to sync and uses less computer resources, while still being secure and not relying on a trusted third party.

Among it's interesting features are:

- Minimalistic user interface
- Deterministic wallet (a wallet can be completely regenerated from a passphrase)
- Secure (the wallet can be encrypted with a password)
- Multiple translations
- View exchange rate value directly from wallet
- Benefits from improvements on the original Electrum and its reputation as an amazing lightweight wallet

Please report bugs/feature requests on Github: https://github.com/electrumalt/electrum-doge/issues

Enjoy!

What I meant was:

Why don't you post with your real account, instead of making a newbie account?
Don't tell me you don't have other account than that?

I don't actually  Cry This is my first contribution to the community although I have been lurking for a while. I did it mainly for myself and for the challenge. This is billsdp's reddit account (he helped me with the website/logo/etc.): http://www.reddit.com/user/billsdp and this my Github account: https://github.com/xilanma

I understand the need to be careful with new wallets and I invite developers to read and inspect the source code: https://github.com/electrumalt/electrum-doge. A good chunk of the code comes from the original Electrum so a diff between both projects should speed up the process (assuming you trust Electrum).

Cheers  Smiley

Hi there,

good work on the service. I just wrote an article about it, which you can find here.

I hope you don't mind the disclaimer at the bottom, it's nothing personal but we have to cover our bases as well.

Thanks a lot! Regarding the disclaimer, it's the right thing to do. I've tried to get in touch with official Dogecoin developers so they can "vet" the code but still haven't heard anything back.

Well I posted the article on Reddit as well so it should hoepfully catch their eye at some time Wink

The server was down for a few hours due to database corruption. It should be back online now! Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey, I've installed it but it says I'm not connected. It appears the server is down. What's the matter? Are you still maintaining the server? Thanks!

I wanted to go to the link to your wallet. The page did not open. I wanted to ask, but does your wallet relate to the well-known purse electrum?
