I am a little nervous because I just saw my coins sent to a different address on blockchain. I did not make a request to send my coins to this wallet https://blockchain.info/address/1HuqM18GMVaLxTRGdmSgytzVYnhRzu7U68

The note on the transaction says contact block chain support. Is this normal for it to happen? How can they just take coins out without my permission...
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

You have 240 coins in your hot wallet Huh

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

They were transferred TO that wallet.  He should contact them.

Blockchain.info had some issues this past week (threads about it on here) where they had problems with their software.  This may be related or not.  It looks like another 1.29 was transferred to 1Huq just now....and another 0.571...

Blockchain has been reusing R values. Whatever that means Tongue

It should NOT happen regularly unless you were doing something.  You should contact Blockchain.info support.

BMB posted a link to what is likely the issue.  Check his link though and see if your address is listed. It looks like you were vulnerable and they got swept by a helpful user.

Moving coins to a new wallet that you know to be safe could be prudent if you don't know how these got transferred. Just make sure to generate new addresses.

If you can contact the blockchain.info support, they may give you guidance.

I emailed their support and they want the wallet identifier and password... lol why am I nervous about this? Can they access my wallet without my 2fa

Edit: I check the email address and everything matched the legitimate email addresses so I'm certain it's not a typical phishing attempt...but why would they ask identifier and password over email...

They're asking for your password via email? whats the email address you contacted?

Can you do "view source" on the email and paste it here?

Yes they can bypass 2FA, I'm surprised they're asking for your password.

I have private messages disabled. Send me an email instead. My contact details can be found here.

First I got this pop up when I went onto my wallet

A security issue effects address ************** . Please Archive It and Contact support@blockchain.zendesk.com

Also here is a copy of the email I got below:

from:   Mandrik (Blockchain) <support@blockchain.zendesk.com>
reply-to:   Blockchain <support+id32215@blockchain.zendesk.com>

"Thank you for this information. We require further investigation into this matter, which means we need to verify that this address was generated in your wallet. Unfortunately we can only do this with the wallet identifier + password. Please provide this information along with the total amount removed from the other address.

Be sure to *NEVER* use the compromised bitcoin address again. You should also generate a new wallet at https://www.blockchain.info/wallet/new, and never use the other wallet again, since you'll be sharing the password information with us.

End email

My confidence with blockchain is going down the drain at the moment.

anyone ? :/

I've had low confidence in them for several years since it seems they often have problems.

The odd things about the email are that their support has a tip address (really???) and asks for the password.

If you have transferred the coins to a safe address and have none there, you'd be safer. You could always confirm via their official twitter or FB pages.

Whatever you do, do not reuse that address/wallet.  Ever.

I took my money off of blockchain.info a while ago. (stored into offline wallets)
I did that not just because i don't trust blockchain.info, but because it's just bad practice to use a browser-based wallet. You're better off taking care of your private keys on your own.

I got a response from their support team and they say they will refund my bitcoin (a little over 1BTC) to a new wallet address!
But I will not be using blockchain ever again !

The 1Huq... address is mine Grin, but as you can see I don't have the money anymore.  I sent it back to bc.i

The problem was a broken random number generator that bc.i had online in the night from Dec. 7 to Dec. 8.

If you PM me your address I can tell you exactly which transaction I used to crack your key.

It's not normal. You shouldn't see anything like that in YOUR WALLET and have transactions without you knowing it. Good thing you've sorted it out. Next time, be cautious when using browser-based wallets. It's better for you to have a lite wallet in your desktop to serve as a hot wallet for your everyday spending.
