Hi,
I have finally gone and got myself three bitcoins and I think so far so good. I brought them from bitbargain and they showed there in my account. I have then set up bitcoin core wallet to my desktop. I think I have transferd them to here, but wasn't sure how I did this, and if its worked? On the dashboard it says Wallet out of sync available 0.00, pending 0.00 total 0.00. Under receive in the request payment history there is some info date - label and amount 3.00. At the footer of this it also says synchronizing with network and has been like this all day (slowly moving)  Am I correct in thinking that once this sync is complete my total will show as 3.00 and then is this the bitcoins are stored on my desktop?
thank you

You have to wait till bitcoin core is fully synced. You can use a online blockexplorer to view the funds in your address:

Post the Transaction ID here, and we'll see if we can help out.

Usually Bitcoin QT/Core has to be fully synced to the network, which can take several hours.  Once it is fully synced, you should wait for the confirmations to start showing before closing out of the wallet.

With using the core you are have a LOT of downloading the chain.   Does your wallet show out of sync? (Still downloading showing weeks and days going down).

If it is still downloading the chain it will not see it till much later.  It could take days depending to get entire chain synced.

When you purchased bitcoin from bitbargain, which address did you provided them? You must have that address in your bitcoin core wallet. Just search for that address on blockchain and it will show the transaction.

It will show in your wallet once the core wallet sync's with the network (can take a few days from a new core wallet install)

Just let it sit online for a day and it will catch up. If it seams like it is stuck, just restart the core wallet and let it keep syncing.  Wink

That indicates there is no bitcoin on that address. Are you sure it is the same address you entered on bitbargain?

Come on don't scare him, let the whole -qt wallet sync and update (it will show as synced and 0 days/hours behind) if then it will still show up as balance=0 then you have to worry as you have fucked something up.
But don't panic till it isn't synced dude.

The only online casino on which i won something. I made 17mBTC from 1mBTC in like 15 minutes.  This is not paid AD!

Bitcoin Core gets all its information from the block chain, so it won't know that you sent the bitcoins until it has synched up to the block that contains your transaction. In the meantime, you can use blockr.io to view the address that you sent the bitcoins to.

I'm not sure what I have done now tbh. In bitcoin core I enterd in the label box my BTC deposit address, and then amount 3.00 and then request payment.

That does nothing but create a new address in your wallet that you can send bitcoins to. The label box is just used to give the address a label.

In order to send the bitcoins to yourself: request an address from bitcoin core like you did, and then go to the bitbargain site and send your coins to that address.

I am not trying to scare him.
If I understand the quoted post correctly, he has checked his address on blockr.io and found that it has a zero balance. If that is the case, he should really start thinking about what he has entered on bitbargain or whether bitbargain has really sent him the bitcoin.

Where did you send the btc to? Post the address you gave to bitbargain and we can at least see if the fund was send or not.

Well maybe he did something wrong so he should update on first place.

Yes.

Bitcoin Core wallet can take days to sync depending upon your connection spped. The sync data (blockchain) is sized in GBs.
You could have used a lite wallet like MultiBit which syncs in matter of seconds.
