Roberto Gutierrez from AurumExchange. Often overlooked in the Bitcoin arena, he has been in the e-currency industry forever and has a lot of knowledge about the industry. Plus, I think he showed commitment to the Bitcoin community (and balls lol) by setting the Bitcoinica situation straight. Not a single penny would have been recovered without his post.

I didn't read the whole forum yet, but where's Mike Caldwell's name? He's the owner of https://www.casascius.com/. I've heard him interviewed before and think he would love to know more about his involvement with bitcoin (more than just his coins). EDIT: I just went back out to his website. I'd be curious how much he's made with his Casascius business so far; how much volume he's getting still. I'm sure you could make enough questions for an interview.

I adjusted the list. Would make a fine cover story for Bitcoin Magazine's final issue. (rumor started here)
This thread will garner individual names for prospects we would like to see interviewed for inclusion in subsequent Bitcoin Magazine issues. To get the ball a rollin', I'll start and maintain a list so that Matthew, et al., could have a handy place to view the notables. The names will be linked to some webpage to get the editor's created juices a flowin'. As time goes on, I may reshuffle the list, having names gravitate to the top if intense interest ensues. Needless to say, any suggested names should be connected with BTCitcoin in some way or fashion but, of course, cryptographist may also be considered. I feel that including Satoshi Nakamoto to the list would serve no real world purpose. I hope you understand. What name would you like to see on the list? Feel free to provide me better links for the above names, sans theymos's. ~Bruno~ [/list]

I cannot stress how much I agree with this. Roberto and I, regardless being straight up competitors, have been doing business together since BitInstant entered the Bitcoin space 2 years ago. Knowing almost everyone in the Bitcoin community, I would say Roberto is in my top 10 people I trust. He is directly responsible for keeping BitInstant running in times of crisis on more then one occasion. Even though there was obvious monetary gain for us going down, Roberto did everything in his power to keep us up. I can't get into details, but he has taking large financial risk as well. When BitInstant first opened, there was a small miscommunication btwn him and myself. He could easily have accused us, ect. but decided to take the high road by giving us benefit of the doubt before coming on these forums. We probably speak at least twice a week, and our businesses rely on each other. I plan on further integrating BitInstant and AurumXChange together. Finally, regarding the Bitcoinica fiasco: Roberto, Mark and myself did an internal investigation together as most of you know. The ethical behavior Roberto showed during the process was something not expected. Roberto is a pillar of the Bitcoin community, and we should all cherish his presence. -Charlie

We tried. They said that they're not ready to give an interview yet. Not that we won't ask again later on, of course And they have cover coverage on #5 anyway.

Billy Cosby. No, really, Bill Cosby. If anybody is to understand the delicate intricacies of Bitcoin, it would be the jell-o dealer himself. Also, I find it comforting to hear the voice of passive non-hostile black men. Kinda like Morgan Freeman. Or the Allstate Insurance guy.
I demand the ability to purchase jell-o with bitcoin. Make it happen, Cosby.
