Rate Increase At Cryptsy ... Scaring Off Traders

Cryptsy's new rate schedule is likely to scare off traders.

Today I saw a rate of .275 to trade EMC2, it was the first time that I saw the higher rate so I inquired and found the progressives pricing schedule..

I understand how it works, and can sympathize with the logic behind the action, however I believe they are shooting themselves in the foot on that one.

If I see a fee I'm not comfortable with I go away, I don't trade more to get a lower price.  Remember, before the price change I was paying .05% to .10%
more at other exchanges.
