I have created a survey to help determine how many BFL ASICs are actually on preorder or plan to be ordered.  Please complete it if you are interested in BFL's ASIC's!

It is only 10 questions long - shouldn't take very long to complete.

Also note that I have no affiliation with questionpro, and will not be gathering any information aside from the questions asked.

What about those who made multiple orders? Your survey doesn't cover this, and will throw off results. Some made multiple orders, with one order paid in BTC and one order paid by wire transfer.

Some later questions are not correct according to the answers you give.
If you fill in you didn't order yet it will still ask what day you orderd and what payment method you used for example.
Filled it in anyways. When will we see any results?

You really should create a new thread to announce that.....

You can call it "BFL ASIC blah blah blah"

It's time for a new BFL ASIC thread anyway.

Good point.  Probably easiest to just take the survey again if you ordered via both methods.

I'll take that into account, thanks for the concern.  There's no way to make a "path" of questions with this particular survey tool.

I regret participating in your survey, you keep the results for yourself, if I knew the results would no be shown at the end I would not bother with it.  Angry

Don't forget Grouver's last question. Cool

Sorry - results will be shared soon!  I didn't have any way to show the results automatically at the end of the survey though.  And I need to clean up the entries too.  But when I have time, I will share.  Wink

Sorry it took so long!  I basically just copy/pasta into excel from the backend reporting.

http://www.filefactory.com/file/52q0t33n3yb7/n/Bitcoin_survey_xlsx

Some results seem to be significant outliers... such as the guy who "ordered" 1000 jalapenos and 15 minirigs.  Anyway, if someone wants to compile some nice summaries from this data, go for it!

Lol, there's some BS answers there for sure. No promises, but I might try to sort through it. File Factory sure is obnoxious about trying to get you to upgrade to a premium service.  Angry

1000 Jalapenos from one person would be absurd, unless they were some kind of expensive promotional giveaway. The big rig is so much more cost effective.

Mining Rig Extraordinaire - the Trenton BPX6806 18-slot PCIe backplane [PICS] Dead project is dead, all hail the coming of the mighty ASIC!

The person who claimed to order 1000 Jalapenos also claimed to order 100 singles and 10 MRs, so that is obviously BS. There are other responses that look suspect in terms of order size (though not as obviously so), and there are others that are suspect b/c they report things like 17,001,846 as the order number.

Anyway, I'm not going to take the time to sort through this. I'm not convinced that enough people took the survey seriously enough to give solid data. And we have other data where it's easier to extract the info I care about (i.e. average Gh/order).
