Really sorry if this has been posted somewhere else already, but there are pages of new threads and post about the ASIC miners...  Roll Eyes

My quick question is this: If you don't buy your single directly from BFL, can you still trade in for the 8-pack of of Jalapeño poppers?

LOL Thanks in advance everyone!

Yes, you can trade-in third party acquired equipment for the 8 pack upgrade. You can do the same for the Single SC and Mini-rig SC. According to BFL it was done this way to allow people who wanted to exit FPGA mining to resell their equipment at a small discount to a secondary market that is expected to develop for people who are looking to just buy units at a discount to trade in.

However keep in mind you still need to pay $599 up front (not including shipping) for the Japaleno 8 pack, and you can only turn in one FPGA-based Single per 8 pack. You can't do two and get it for free.

See http://www.butterflylabs.com/bitforce-sc-release-notes/ for more information.
