I just wanted to see if people here use just-dice a lot, even if it's CLAM only now.

The website design is very simple, I just would like to know, -if you do- why exactly do you gamble in Just-dice?

Depends. Long term site, trust full owner. If someone plans to invest, then he can be assured it will be safe

Of-course lot of people are gambling there and it's almost free gambling, you put in an address and if it has clams, enter its priv-key and 10 minutes later you have clams in your account and you can start rolling.

Too bad investing still pretty risky considering how liquid the clam market is atm.

True. I would not invest at the moment.

Would be nice if they could switch back to BTC.

I think people trust the site owner. They know their money will be there next time they visit the site. Can't say the same for many dice sites out there.

Exactly, why would have been great if they had resumed with BTC again. I have not been convinced enough to invest in any other site after them.

IMO, not many people are now using JD.

From https://just-dice.com/wagered.txt, you can see JD is now having a daily wagered of tens of thousands of CLAM (= a few hundred of BTC only). It is not a small amount, but is much lower than PD.

just dice has a name for being fair and reliable. Does the new owner have anything to do with the old JD? Thanks.

There is no new owner. The old JD and the current JD are owned and operated by the same person "dooglus". The only change is that it is not taking bitcoin now but only CLAM coin.

Apparently many people are there, and they are because they trust the owner...

It was actually the best site for me before the owner decided to shut it down.
It would still easily be the best site, if the owner decides to reopen it.

JD has already reopened with CLAM, but it is very likely that it won't be reopened with BTC ever.

I'm sure BTC reopening isn't out of the question, but I believe BTC is just a little hot right now.  Little too much lime light for comfort and this is a step above a Neopoint Tongue and a step below a BTC test-net coin (plus core devs get pissy about selling/buying test-net coins.)

From the chat earlier:

Then again, he could easily change his mind down the road...

Does dooglus only plan to reopen with CLAM or does he plan to introduce BTC again?

I don't plan to introduce BTC again. Last time it really got out of hand. I don't want to be holding huge amounts of value for other people. It's scary. I said recently in the chat that I won't be opening for BTC again. That's overstating it since I'm not certain about that, but it's probably true.

Months ago when JD was still online JD had 2 times more bets than PD, it was only because of the shutdown that everyone moved away.

just dice is famous for fair and reliable. Dooglus is a well-known here. Although I don't bet now, it is too exciting and nervous, not helpful to my heart and nerves Grin.
