Was around 20 coins about 3-4 months back, after the price went down from 600 to 500, I sold most of them, and was glad with the decision. Now dont keep more than 1-2 most of the times, as I just play poker with it.

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

Are you really expecting people to be honest on this thread?
What do people have to gain by lying? The poll is anonymous...no one has to leave a comment and confess their count. The few schleps that lie are the few that have zero confidence and respect for themselves, i'm willing to live with that small margin of error.

+1 To get slightly better results, you can ask people not about their coins, but about other people's coins. Something like: "do you know personally anybody with >5 coins?" or "Among bitcoiners you know, how much bitcoins owns (in your opinion) the person you know the best?". All due respect, that's essentially asking people make up an answer. Further, us Bitcoiners are still a rare breed...we are few and far between. I don't know ANYONE in my daily life that owns any Bitcoins. If you guys have problems with the survey, quit posing and move on. We don't need your comments or your vote.

late adopters?
the currency is only 5 years old.. thats as bad as rejecting to adopt kids in foster homes that are not toddlers.. don't you understand in the first 5 years of life, currency and children are boring. its not until they start becoming independent and can think for themselves that you stop thinking of them as that little thing in the corner screaming for attention and start thinking of them as part of society.
so do not think that being 5yo is too old. but at the point where life in society truely begins
Good point but in that 5 years of existence if you only bought coins this year you're a late adopter. This isn't the future, it's today and the survey is meant to tally today's count. Thanks for your vote!

Did you see that its anonymous? Why wouldn't they? The problem is the OP thinks "greater than 100 coins" differentiates early adopters from late? How about some tiers like: 100 - 200 200 - 500 500 - 1000 1000+

How about some tiers like: 100 - 200 200 - 500 500 - 1000 1000+ Yeah, i struggled trying to decide on the right ranges. 25% of the votes have been for > than 100. Sounds like you're interested in understanding how that 25% at the high end is broken out? I think it's great that ppl have more than 100 coins, however I think a majority of us have gotten on board (bought coins) in the last year and majority of people can't afford outlaying $100,000 to $30,000 on BTC hodlings (which is what one would have to spend this year to own 100+ coins). So far this poll shows (at 67 votes) that 62% of respondents own less than 30 coins. I can do another poll to see how the big owners break out but you gotta help me get the attention of those owners.
