That would be a lagging, rather than leading, indicator.

it was said many times, that it may occur with the block halving(around 2016, usually before, like doge maybe), but no one know for sure

It's going up right now as we engage in this conversation. The question is how high will it go? For the past few months, we have already seen the price rebounded back from the $300 support level at least 3 times, going up as high as $450 and then finally coming down again.

No, nobody can ever predict the price. Not five minutes from now or 5 days or 5 weeks or 5 years. bitcoin isn't for the impatient so if you can't handle not seeing instant gains it might not be for you.

I think before the next block reward halving * 25 BTC >>> 12.5BTC*. If in that case the price will not rise I don't know what will happen to  bitcoin economy. However I think in  only ~5 year the bitcoin system  works very well , every day more people use , spend & hold it ,  so I think this is a success.

When will it go up? When will it drop? If only someone knew, that would be fun would it not?

It is possible to predict with some level of certainty what the price will do in the next several years as economic data can predict where the price will go. It is next to impossible to tell which direction something will go in the near future as most short term price movements are mostly nothing more then noise.

You can however exclude certain extreme short term movements that are extremely unlikely to occur, giving what is left with potential possibilities as to the short term future price

You cannot predict unless you know who will pump or dump.

If you are best friends with the bearwhale you might stand a chance, otherwise forget it.

All these plus one's but you still can't find a prediction I was wrong in... I dare someone to find someone who follows my trades and hasn't been making money...

You don't seem to have read his post yet where you appear to have been wrong in a prediction.

I reckon it's possible for them to both be wrong though Wink

I have yet to find even one who is always right.  Grin

Look again  Kiss

You were wrong about us retesting 360-380 before we try less than 333.

12/16/2014 - Yesterday we saw a 15.46 per coin drop (-4.59%) so we will not fight the short coverer's and permabulls buying...

A 2% pop is expected tomorrow, we realize breaking through 346 is possible, MAX possible gain 352
If the selling continues well into the Chinese afternoon, long positions should continued to be acquired unless we break past 316, if that happens we could possibly hit less sub 300

In all honesty, we will retest 360-380 before we try less than 333
Good luck to all  Kiss
