Welcome to the new and improved games which is now open.
Expect to hear more about the new and improved games soon.
The old thread was locked as that was no longer relevant to these games now.
More info is available on the updated website:http://film2240.webs.com/dreamislandsgames.htm

Benefits (quote from the website):
1.Better and fairer winner selection system (now based partly on the blockchain although this is under development.)
2.New game types such as The Redeemer (gamble for good causes.1/3 of winnings go to good causes while you get to keep 2/3 of total jackpot) as well as other games to play.
2b.The winner gets to choose which good causes the 1/3 of the jackpot goes to. If no choice is made, this'll go straight to the Dream Islands Foundation (a non-profit that decides which good causes the money goes to).
3.More anonymous (i.e no need to tell me you've entered anymore as I've managed to find a solution to this now.Use the website to enter.)
4.More frequent games. (once a fortnight rather than once a month although this is improving)
5.Higher stakes = bigger jackpots.
6.Hopefully more interesting Smiley
7.Each game type will be unique in some way so that no game feels the same or gets boring.(E.g The Redeemer game type has a different method of winner selection to the lottery.)
8.The games will be more inclusive for everyone (i.e newbies will no longer be left out like before where the newbie friendly games was released later than they should have).
9.The games will continue the tradition of democratic feedback which equals a higher quality experience while giving the freedom to change what each round/game should be like depending on user preference.

Available games (currently available):
1.Round 2 of the lottery.Entry is 0.1 BTC now and 20 LTC
2.The Redeemer (gamble for good causes) 0.2 BTC entry fee and 40 LTC
3.BTC Bingo (Entry 0.05BTC and 10 LTC)-Enter by posting 6 random numbers of your choice. Each number can be from 0-50.The draw will begin after the 2 week round ends.
4.More will come over time depending on feedback of users.
5.[New entry] Litecoin gambler-Enter by sending 10 LTC to LbTrAtf67th7DR9jeYgmLnSGAe89SrEEHj and by simply posting your LTC address.Winner will be chosen randomly via same system that goes for all games now.

Just a taste of things to come. Trolling is not welcome.I'm now welcome to feedback and suggestions on what you think of the new and upcoming developments. Smiley

Update on developments:
1.The development of the new winner selection system is now successful.A breakthrough has now been reached in the development of the hybrid winner selection system.
2.All games are now ready.
3.Release is now on schedule due to the breakthrough in recent developments.Expect a prompt unveiling within 5 days. Smiley
4.I have been sent the code now for the blockchain portion and I'm now able to make use of this.
5.New development-The hybrid selection system has been improved considerably now.
The new system makes use of 3 cryptographic methods:
a.md5
b.SHA-1 (figured out how)
c.Random no generator (only used to select a line-so if the winner has ticket no 5 with this SHA1 hash 93c59573a0463bdfb6f2399a1b67f9bf789e5869,the SHA1 hash still needs to be decoded first and can't be tampered with as changing 1 digit from what it should be would probably show an error or something making it very obvious that foul play was involved if the operator is unscrupulous/unreliable.)
Plus a randomly used combo (which won't be mentioned any time during a draw to discourage prospective cheaters) will also help.

Tester of how the blockchain would be used (Example):
0000000000000166c6987cfd687b0777bd6800a798db1f31b3cab74528bacf43

The coloured in bits will be what's used to determine the winner. There are 3 colours. The first colour determines which ticket holder is the winner. The other 2 are reserved at the moment and will have a future use for different game types.

Countdown until the games are live:
5 days remaining

Any feedback (praise or constructive criticism) is welcome Smiley

P.S.Is this how the blockchain should be used for winner selection?

I've now added Litecoin support for all games now so life should be easier for Litecoin users. Smiley
This thread I posted shows how people are responding to this change:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=93170.0

Winner selection system has now been tweaked to be even better.I've abolished the use of a general random number generator as this was the weak point in the hybrid blockchain winner selection system

The 1st and 3rd colour determine which ticket holder is the winner when used as a combination. The 2nd colour is simply a reference that I rely on as a unique signature for each round/game so that there can never be any confusion on my part when revealing who the winner is/as well as insurance against losing records on my computer in case it crashes or gets hacked into.A simple number wouldn't suffice as this number could repeat or be fudged (if the operator is unreliable/untrustworthy) so to help eliminate this risk, the 2nd coloured part is most likely to be a unique signature. This shows proof that every round was played, finished and above all not an annoying forgery.
