Two new sections of the website:

Mining Software: http://unitus.info/miners
Services: http://unitus.info/services

It looks really nice.

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Have one question guys.

I want to start mining UIS here: http://uk.p2pool.geek.nz:5567/static/

On the top of the page is writen: "This Qubit P2Pool node is part of the myriad.p2pool.geek.nz Merge-Mining P2Pool Network. Mining @ this node will earn you Myriadcoin (MYR) & Unitus (UIS)."

What command should i give to the miner to specify two wallet address to get two kind of coins ?
If anyone knows how should look like the command line, pls post it here.

Thanks in advance.

Can't get the p2pool node running.
Latest repo cloned https://github.com/nzsquirrell/p2pool-nzs

unitus.conf:
rpcuser=unitusrpc
rpcpassword=x

daemon=1
bind=10.0.4.2
rpcallowip=10.0.4.1

It gets stuck @ p2p connection every time. I tried starting p2pool right after unitusd to make sure there are available slots, nothing changes.
Any ideas? Thanks

Problem is with your option in unitus.conf: bind=10.0.4.2

That is forcing unitusd to listen only on 10.0.4.2 for Peer-2-Peer traffic, but then p2pool is trying to connect via 127.0.0.1.

Solutions: Either remove the bind=10.0.4.2 from your unitus.conf file, or append '--bitcoind-address 10.0.4.2' to your command to start p2pool - this would force p2pool to connect to that interface in place of the loopback interface.

Let me know if you are going to make this node public and i'll add a link to it on the existing nodes. PM me your geographical location.

Thanks.

The trick with removing bind moved me forward. However, there is now a more serious error in python "No module named blake_hash". Btw, i tried your pool code on other coin daemons, it works just fine. Trying on debian wheezy if it's relevant.

I can't make the node public, i'm on 5 mbps DSL. I doubt it's enough, even though i have nice latency. The reason i want to put up a private node is cuz i'm in EU and have really bad pings to your overseas nodes.
Thanks

hello

You only need to enter your myriadcoin address in the mining config. Go to this website to register your merged-mining coins.

http://myriad.p2pool.geek.nz/miners

Look for your miner/address and click on More Information and then Change Account Settings, from there you can see what you need to do to get Unitus payout.

Blake256 Hashrate   1.67 TH/s
Global Pool Hashrate: 249.02 GH/s (Rejected 10.91 GH/s / 4.38%) - http://us.p2pool.geek.nz/

and where the remaining coins are mined?

Looks like a serious whale is solo mining.
Check http://explorer.unitus.info/blocks
There are so many single address rewards for blake, each reward to a new address most likely not to draw attention. If it was a pool , it wouldn't go unnoticed and there would be further movements from fresh mined coins.
Let's push p2pool with all we've got, i'm throwing almost 100GH at it  Cheesy

I don't think it's a single solo miner and I don't think the new addresses are to avoid detection, all of the blocks I mined early on from the same wallet went to unique addresses by default.

Does anybody have older working source for P2Pool? I was using this build; https://github.com/kramble/FPGA-Blakecoin-Miner
to solo mine with FPGA's early on and getting on fine but the current source for pool mining doesn't support ZTEX FPGA's.

Since getting into Cryptocurrency I've had many bags, all but two have varied over time.  Those are the two I see in the mirror where my eyes once shone.

I have 80 GH myself solo mining.  There are a lot of people like me that have say 20-30 GPUs so a few others like myself can make the difference....also you need to understand that its not actually 1.67 TH.  Its actually closer to 800 GH.  What happens is as (by chance and in conjunction with the other algos difficulty levels) the difficulty adjust reports higher hash as if by chance several blocks are found with one algo in a row...track it over a longer time period and you will see the average is no where near 1.6, thats a high number.

There is a complicated reason for oscillation which I wont get into as it requires an understanding of the difficulty adjustment algo and information delays(remember we only "guess" the actual hash-rate based on the time in between blocks being found, its retroactive with more recent block inter-arrival times being weighted more heavily)...but the bottom line is Unitus does a very good job actually managing the difficulty with imperfect information about actual hash rate.  (side note: when people switch from one algo to another rapidly a consequence is that the range of difficulty/reported hash-rate swings become much larger, this is a major difficulty to manage with a coin that has 5 algos, I am really impressed that the variance seems to be within a factor of 2 of the real hash-rate...for example NEOs couldn't solve this problem).

If this made no sense to you I can further elaborate,

Take a look in modules/blake_getpowhash - from there run "sudo python setup.py install" - this will compile and install the blake_hash module, and then you should be set to go.

P2Pool doesn't consume a huge amount of bandwidth - latency is the biggest killer.

Thanks

Progress!

Take a look in modules/blake_getpowhash - from there run "sudo python setup.py install" - this will compile and install the blake_hash module, and then you should be set to go.

P2Pool doesn't consume a huge amount of bandwidth - latency is the biggest killer.

Got it running finally!

Located in EU (Latvia). Fee is 0.5% plus 0.5% for p2pool dev.
Both router and server are on 1.5KVA UPS, uptime 5 months.
My local miners, scattered across a couple of garages in country, get 4-5% less rejects, compared to US and NZ nodes, thanks to low latency Cheesy

Thanks

Coin sounds very very good!

Not picking at all but this coin may get more fan base if the developer has a logo design contest or something.
The logo is o.k. but can be better.

I had my account hacked due to a weak password I was told. It has be re-secured and a stronger password implemented. Hacker was posting malware links using my account. Always use a very strong password.
