I think ripple'll be dumped so soon. it's still sold via bitcoin so it's not a competitor to bitcoin.

I don't think so..  They know how to get banks into Ripple. It's not about all about technology..

I'm still not entirely clear as to what XRPs represent ..

Is it a currency ??
Is it a stock ??
Is it a 'token' required to utilize the ripple network ??
What gives it value ??
Other than 'owning' XRP is there any other mechanism for assigning value
to the ripple network ??
