Is Ripple about to become the next kingmaker?

Im quite surprised how high Ripple has risen over the last month, ive never been too interested in it due to it being so centralised etc, I never thought that Ripple would reach 1c let alone 2.5c and still climbing.

If i invested it i would only have done so to have made a gain and then sold off.
Its hard to say whats driving up its price, but i dont see it staying this way for long, i will be surprised if this trend continues.

800 mill is the publicly disbursed market cap  RL, private investors/ firms, HNWI's etc own 1.7 billion USD worth of XRP at current market rates (most of which got at signifcant discounts or sweetheart deals), to put in  perspective, right now just the private stash is worth over 5 million BTC. Combined market cap is more half that of bitcoins at 2.5 billion USD

Yep, just a pump coin with no utility and doesn't provide liquidity for a very sound crypto currency platform.  The sad truth about it is, the people hating on XRP now will be the people pushing it to the ATH soon.  They will be afraid that they missed the boat and will push it even higher than what it should be when they start getting in the network.

rather strange, that the leading exchange is Chinese BTC38, and global daily volume is about 800 BTC.
Anyone has more accurate information? So far, it looks like a Chinese pump that should fizzle soon.

A majority of XRP trading occurs within Ripple's built-in distributed exchange. cryptocoincharts.info does not appear to track that data. ripplecharts is a method of gathering data from the network, if you would like to confirm its validity for yourself. As of this moment CNY has lower volume than JPY, BTC, and USD.
