I'm getting frequent stratum timeouts mining cryptonight, sometimes my i5 will go over 10 minutes
without submitting a share, my i7 seems to do better.

Vardiff never lowers the diff below 25000, can something be done about this?

Got a question for zpool as so far I am not getting any answers or support at mining hub so looking at moving on.

I got a Baikal Miner Giant+ and I want to know a few things.

Is it possible while multi mining to estimate or calculate what I am actually making in a 24 hour period? With Mining Pool Hub it's balance page is not easily understood so I can not even figure out what I am making daily with it.

For example.. credit     credited for exchange   on exchange

with no explanation of what each of these are.

So I am looking for a pool much easier to follow so I know Baikal works with Zpool to.  I am looking for a nice easy UI that makes it clear how much profit I am actually making.

Gentlemen, when I have both CPU and GPU checked in NiceHash Legacy 1.8.1.5 it shows I am only making about $0.12/day. Both the CPU and GPU are listed. When I unselect the CPU and keep only the GPU checked this goes up about $3/day. I thought having both the CPU and GPU mining would result in higher earnings, not less.

I am brand new to mining. Am I doing something wrong? I ran all benchmarks I thought the CPU can still mine even tho it's not as effective as the GPU.

Thank you.

Hi everyone, I hope it's okay to re-up an old thread? I wasn't sure my question warranted its own topic Cheesy

I'm running my own mining pool and I'm trying to mine a coin with sha256d as its algo. I've set the pool difficulty for sha256 in the coin/algo configuration files in my pool to 500000 (the minimum required by NiceHash for sha256 - https://www.nicehash.com/pool-operators). I can get solo miners to connect and mine blocks and they parse the difficulty as being 500000 - https://imgbox.com/E2fIYofp. However, NiceHash pool verificator returns the "pool difficulty too low (provided=16, minimum=500000)" error (https://imgbox.com/uWopLwOz) and miners from NiceHash orders fail to connect to the pool. What could the issue be and how do I fix this?

Thanks in advance! Smiley

Sincerely,
newlymintedcryptolover

EDIT 14/03/2022: I've managed to solve this - turns out, all I needed to do was add the line nicehash = 750000 to the stratum part of the algo configuration file. Here's what the configuration file looks like now: https://imgbox.com/6WmPHK9U . It took me almost a week to solve this! It'd be great to have more documentation for issues like this.
