 Thanks for the heads up. It just so happens that I don't download and alt-coin wallets to be on the safer side. There must be viruses/malwares/keylogger programs that can be hidden inside these which not even antiviruses picks up. |

 Since there is a solid chance of the presence of a backdoor being backed in a wallet, I strictly suggest to run wallets from unknown source (ie every new altcoin) on a virtual machine isolated from the rest of your trusted wallets. One of the first moves made by every virus/backdoor backed is to look for every wallet.dat on your harddisk.One my favourite setup is
 -host for daily use
 -vm trusted wallets
 -vm untrusted
 
 VM1 and VM2 won't communicate between them.
 It won't need that much to be setup.
