PS: If you want more than 8 connections you have to use UPnP or configure port forwarding.

26 now however I did start with just 8 like 45min ago when I upgraded to the latest version today.

Around 40-50 usually.  I lose them if I have to restart, then they slowly come back over the next 24 hours or so.

That's bad.  You're using connections that other users could be using.  How about opening up a port instead.  That way you help improve the network rather than harming it.

I am running through Tor and can't use port forwarding without losing anonymity. Undecided  I realized >50 was quite a lot and purposely lowered it before you posted.  Wink  I've more than done, and continue to do, my share in improving the Bitcoin economy and network. Cool
