I've bougt a few things there and I do like the auction idea where you don't have to actively run it like you would doing it in a forum thread.

So, I listed one lil video card out of a bunch of stuff to see if anyone actually looks at them.

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

I'm a big fan of bitmit.net but no need for a 5850 right now.  Glad to see you using it though.

both of the purchases I did there were with people I had no clue who they were. The escrow thing works great, the communication was laid out cleanly for seller/buyer. And the few questions I had were answered by admin very quicky.

Nice!

What happens if the buyer forgets to release the escrow though?

Nevermind, I found the answer:

"Request an automatic release of the Bitcoins in escrow, unless the buyer does not deny within 14 days"

Aye, I probably should add another shipping category for Canada. The higher shipping assumes it will be going across the pond.

Looks like you have a bid.  I'm actually more interested in the other items you have.

I love Bitmit but it could be more popular if we could search it and ebay at the same time automatically. That way I could make it my default place to go when searching for something to buy.

It would be great if it was added to the multi auction search websites.

All we need to demonopolise ebay is to have people searching other sites as well.

I've used them to both buy and sell items. Its pretty solid, although the user interface could use some polishing though.

Yip I also love BitMit, some of the sellers are really great. What BitMit does great is it's escrow system - it provides protection to the buyer, much like what PayPal and eBay does. Bitcoin absolutely needs consumer protection to succeed.
