I am thinking about selling but don't know what to price it at.  It is a version 2, fully loaded with 100 BTC on it, never tampered with, but it is not in the original wrapper that it was shipped with.  I keep it wrapped in a lint free cloth inside a ziplock bag.  Also, what should I provide as proof that I bought it from Mike?  I have all the e-mail conversations saved with him, but not sure what that proves.

According to http://casascius.uberbills.com/ there are only 69 unopened bars out there.  Pics next time I can get to the safe deposit box.

You couldn't afford a 4BTC item here yesterday -

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=900656.0

Beautiful artwork, wish it was something I could afford. What denominations so far have been created and what denominations are you planning in full for the 10 coins of 2015?

So how can you afford a 101.5BTC here, no scam attempts I hope  Huh

I have a family member who has over 500 BTC and I would simply middle it as he told me wanted one of these for 105. I'd take the difference.

Also, I can afford the 4 BTC item, my net worth in BTC is approximately 9.45 BTC currently +~$5,000 fiat. It isn't much but for a college student its not bad. However, I use that money for investing into the casinos' bankrolls and options, I don't consider that spendable money so yes throwing 4 BTC down on art is too much for me at this time.

Obviously with the wonderful "trade with caution" next to my name, if a deal were made here we would use escrow.

Hi,

If this is a serious bid and you can complete the sale quickly I will accept your offer.

Due to the value of the transaction I will have to assist on using Escrow.

My prefered Escrow provider is escrow.ms,

he's on the forum approved Escrow list-
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108716.0

Also has excellent trust feedback -
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=76380

If you want to trade drop me a pm and ill drop him a pm to make the arrangments.

Tempting.  The security and fraud risks of selling such a high value item may not be worth it.  I'd hate to redeem it but if they aren't fetching that much of a premium, I'd rather sell the redeemed bar by itself.   Hmmm....

Mike should be able to provide you with a PGP signed message indicating you are the original purchaser of the bar.  You can then re-sign the message with your PGP key to the buyer indicating the transfer ownership to extend the chain of custody.  I would highly recommend doing this for this high value item!

Guys I am not looking for a flame war.  If you're interested in buying this or just want to say hi, PM me.  Otherwise, I won't be checking this thread anymore.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all regardless.

You can just let the market find the price.. Start an auction at 101BTC and see where it goes from there.

I'd start an auction at $20,000 and put a reserve at 45-50.

I'm still kicking myself for selling mine...  Sad

I would think the auction reserve would be 100 Bitcoin, or $33,428? Since it wouldn't make much sense to even consider selling it for less than face value, at least that's how I see it anyway.
