I noticed the OpenVZ 1 option disappear (although it was very low power its not missed), does the 2x ram apply to OpenVZ 2?  Is the memory increase a permanent upgrade for the server at no additional cost, or after the term (i.e. after 1st quarter) does the memory reset back to original?

Thanks for the question.

The ram upgrade is for life and the upgrade counts for any plan you see offered right now. It is only valid for our new California node which is:
2x6 Core Intel E5 @ 2GHz
128GB Ram
4x2TB SATA 7200rpm
LSI 9260-4I RAID in RAID 10 w/ 512MB write cache + battery backup


The reason the lower end packages have disappeared is because those slots are full.
BitVPS is moving into 'phase two' which means we're catering towards higher end clients now with all the lower end slots filled.
