Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I wonder if this is Joshua Zipkin part deux? He did state (chat link pdf in my sig) that he would sell under alternate aliases. ALot of little things said in this thread....minus the fact it's not self-moderated. That would be the only thing here that makes me question that lol.

Maybe it's a test. There is lots of good advice in this thread for the next attempt.

I, among others, have gone outta our way to give excellent advice as to how to successfully pull off the ultimate scam, but these fuckers continue to fuck things up in spite of our best efforts. Ergo, the problem is not them, but us, for we may need to start charging for our combined efforts so that they'll have something invested, then should heed our advice.

Seriously, how fackin' hard is it to mesh together a few convincing components inside a case and take a real pic of the device? Then, show a video of it hashing away, off course contrived. Add a few convincing stats, and you're golden. Then sell it as IN STOCK with no-preorder with a realistic warranty.

Offer ~500 at one price point, with the next ~15% higher. The 500 number count decreasing after each sale or at some contrived realistic rate.

I say my plan is a lot easier to implement and should be more successfully than what I've witness with EMIC.

That's certainly how I'd do it. It's not hard to find some convincing-looking PCBs to strap big CPU coolers on, drop them in a somewhat generic 3U/4U rack case (but make sure airflow directions are logical) with a hefty PSU and cable it to an internal Pi for connectivity and control. Make sure you understand the mathematics behind cgminer stats before faking your screenshots and video so ckolivas doesn't call you out for having inconsistent data, point the appropriate hashrate at a posted Eligius address to look like a real test unit is flying solid and let it run for a few weeks. If possible, post a picture of a pallet of your (probably empty) generic 3U/4U cases, along with 3 or 4 on a slick bench somewhere all cabled up with lights flashing and the one "display model" open with a few innards visible. Make sure there's some miscellaneous lab equipment on the bench (solder station, scope, decent power supply or two and a scattering of random ICs and resistors strewn in the back) so it looks more legit.

Why do these guys want to do everything with photoshop? So lazy.

Two weeks and a thousand bucks in materials, you'll make it back inside of day one.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!
Currently in development - 200+GH USB stick; 6TH volt-adjustable S1/3/5 upgrade kit
Server PSU interface boards and cables. USB and small-scale miners. Hardware hosting, advice and odd-jobs. Supporting the home miner community since 2013 - http://www.gekkoscience.com

Dude, you even got me convinced with the above scenario. Please provide a bitcoin address so that I can remit...

The issue here is that scammers are generally lazy people. They got big minds but little effort to show. It is an inherent aspect of sociopathy. They are driven by impulsive thinking and little else. While they may think and do to some degree, they won't pull it off fully. BFL had the perfect storm of people to do this with. They were a bunch that got more done to perpetuate their scam. That and were early to the game. If BFL had happened now, we would have already outed them and that would have been it.

These guys if they are legit should have known and would have done the research needed to market themselves. Instead they are just talking out of their ass right now until they produce real evidence of a product. Since Michal claims he took to the time to anticipate this (obvious 20 seconds is NOT enough time) reaction, he needs to post a working miner, show cgminer stats (not just web UI) and a pool performance or testpool performance stat. Something that shows they got something. And the pre-order....a joke. In hand only. I want to be able to order and get the hardware ships within 24-48 hours.

Well, that explains why the first image (yours) wasn't index by the search engines because you cropped it. Also, note the date as to when this particular unit that Michal has came available: December 10, 2014.

Yet, Michal was able to use this as the address for EMIC when he registered his company on December 1, 2014: https://prod.ceidg.gov.pl/CEIDG/CEIDG.Public.UI/SearchDetails.aspx?Id=49af0425-7594-4110-9db8-50c13f8a6a5a

Watch the video and learn how to earn up to 400% ROI per module. The more modules you buy, the greater the return.

He even asks the question as to why the remaining 8 million bitcoins can't be yours.

In the same video, when you order from EMIC you're guaranteed 100% money back from the day you ordered it to 30 days after you receive your miner.

And, to think Michal considers up idiot for questioning his venture.

One more thing. Where is PowerModuleTM registered?

Seems logical to have your "super reliable asic chip" displayed and possibly a video of it hashing.
Why post now without anything to show.  Pre orders from new, unknown companies here will
always be discounted.  Please send someone a miner if your legit.

Ok, lets cut the crap with this troll feeding "It's SCAM" posts.

I'm also from Poland, and since now my company FPITM are one and only Polish producer and seller of ASIC mining hardware here (Not mention Tytus BIB - because they produce only for own closed mining operation).
I'm also a Chairman of Polish Bitcoin Association so i know most of Polish Bitcoin community members personally, especially from mining site (rest of them from internet).

I don't know Michał Krawczyszyn, even from internet (not mention about personally).
I and any of my colleague from Polish community don't know EMIC company.
I can't find any information about EMIC on Polish Bitcoin Forum or Michał him self on FB group "Bitcoin Polska".

(Where You want to allocate Your product, when You don't advertise Your product on mother market?!?!)

Beside this Michał or his company strange "hiding behavior" there many unknown facts about hardware:

- ASICs: what chips will be used and why You don't want to share this information (or know) 2 month before mentioned delivery?
- Price: 600 USD? Where? How?

I really know what mean to produce hardware in "Polish condition", only financial side of operation are very less possible to be acquire, with this kind of final price of product for Feb 2015 according to market.
I don't even mention about technological site.

And preorders? Michał how You can even expect some preorders with lack of basic information about technology, that You give to future customers?!?!

All that is the best way to show community You are don't know Bitcoin hardware market at all.
So how You can expect community will believe Your ASIC and hardware production knowledge, and place preorder?

I live near (Warsaw), may I visit you and see a miner in action? Also you may consider to put one unit into Bitcoin Embassy in Warsaw (Krucza street), they will make an review and then you may gain some legitimacy...

In Bitcoin Embassy Warsaw Ltd. are no one who can proper review any hardware...

Dex I know You, and You know Me Wink I will contact EMIC by phone after new year holiday and talk about review.
We can go on meeting with Michał together (we also have some our stuff to talk about Wink )

I think it will be fastest, proper pre-review for community Smiley

(pre-review because real and pro review for hardware is "dogie class" one Wink )

Note below is a solid scam setup >  I am not going to sell any of my accounts >  BTW I have been offered money for both my ebay and my account here.

Yeah I will sell my legendary account along with my 11 year seller  ebay account  same user name(has 1200 plus perfect feedback with a history of asic sales).

Lastly buy my 6 year old  buyer's account on ebay. Listed to my wife that kept her maiden name.

You could list  a few on  the seller's ebay account.  Have the dummy ebay account buy a piece or 2 give good reviews for the unit.

So to the highest bidder what do you think those 3 accounts are worth?

Just a way to be fucked so be careful

Lots of people visited BFL... HashFast... BlackArrow... Bitmine... and where did that leave investors? Given what it takes to be semi reputable here a visit to this outfit won't change much.

Lots of people visited BFL...

Yes, and what they see during visit? Josh? No technology, no chips, no miners. (According to first BFL visit - Kano, if I remember correctly).
(I'm not familiar with other manufacture visit.)

We wan't meet Michał and see some technology, samples, chips, production or tap out declaration (some specific information).
I don't want to give them reputation by visit them, but give information to community and future customers that they can decide by them self.
That's all we (local community members) can do for community.

Everyone need's to achieve reputation by them self.

M.A.T. just declared bankruptcy: http://www.wijlimburg.nl/nieuws-overzicht/bitcoinbedrijf-maastricht-bouwbedrijf-van-den-heuvel-landgraaf-en-hanssen-electro-hoensbroek-failliet/
Of course Marc Coumans must have known about and planned for this for a long time. Proving him to be the liar and thief everyone suspected him to be.
The contact of the bureau dealing with this bankruptcy case is: curator mr. C.F.M.P. Spreksel, Wilhelminasingel 63, 6221 BG Maastricht tel. 043-3432859

Happy new year!

/nam

Michal Krawczyszyn is such a marketing genius, he now has the word bankruptcy to go along with the word scam when people search for EMIC while he finds it prudent to not address concerns in a proper light.

Care to guess which entity has/had more transparency, EMIC or MAT? Speaking of MAT, I know of this reseller in Colorado that could visit EMIC's Polish facility, then report back to the community his findings so that he, too, can take money-back guarantee orders. I'm sure this dude I have in mind still has some black arrows in his quiver to shoot EMIC some orders.

I don't know about Colorado (is that minersource.net?), but MAT has a shill in PA (or is it MD? whatever), goes by the name lifeforcepools here. Shilled heavily for MAT, is now "reselling" Hashra hardware (another upstanding ASIC vendor), should definitely get in touch with EMIC.
