Most probably they could be some early adopters who had a lot of coins in the starting. They failed to realize the potential of btc and then deleted their wallet without keeping a backup, and they must be crying right now.

Or who knows they also could be satoshi nakamoto's own address.

I wonder if the dust transactions sent to the addresses are people, trying to get their addresses related to the big addresses out there.
