Flying from Indonesia. Again Sad

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

This has been going on for 9 months now, is there something weird with the Indonesian Air Space?

Let's see what they have to say. If it was a bad weather accident then they should at-least find remains of that plane somewhere in the ocean.

MH17 wasn't really an incident that occurred over Indonesian airspace. It was a Malaysian-owned plane flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia that was shot down over Eastern Ukrainian territory.

This is happening far too often for it to be a coincidence, planes don't just randomly drop out of the sky, if I ever go to Japan I'm tempted to go there by boat to be honest if this keeps up.

Well, while going to Japan without Flying may be a nice experience by itself - see the Japan page of www.seat61.com - emergencies occured also at sea.

THere are over 100000 commercial flights per day. Close to 40 million per year. If anything, Im always amazed by how rare crashes are.   If you accept just one in a million odds of a plane going down due to technical issues, weather, pilot error or crime, there would be a plane crash almost every week.

I suppose, but the thing is, a sinking ship is a lot easier to escape from than being trapped in a metal box which is hurtling towards the ground, that's where my logic is going Tongue

Tell that to the passengers of the Costa Concordia. You're 40x more likely to die on a ferry than on a plane:

In ten years, we're gonna look back at 2014 as one of those sad years...  Sad

Let's just hope we can solve this case and maybe even reunite those families.

Your logic's not going very far. If you escape from a sinking ship into freezing water, you've got less than half an hour before you pass out from hypothermia and drown. If the water's not freezing, you might be able to survive for a day or two, but what are your chances of being rescued during that time? And a lifeboat by itself won't save you: it just keeps you alive for a few extra days. Unless your ship sinks close to the shore, you're pretty much fucked.

We can't solve this case because this "accident" is made by someone who owns a lot of money and power. Just tell me this. When you lost your phone they can trace it and find it, but when the fucking plane disappear they can't find it? I mean wtf? There are thousand of satellites out there, radas etc. Accident doesn't exist.
