I watched this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5kWu1ifBGU

I am young (relative to the time frame this vid is referring to) so I did not know this, Is this true? I know we are all slaves but if this is true it shows how much we are all under illusion.

Your thoughts please? Educate me

Yeah official marriage is not needed, but people tend to want to settle with the same person and this is natural. When you are young you want to fuck around but as you grow up most people want to settle with a person that you consider special, in this sense is not a scam, but you dont need to get officially married for that.

It depends on one's faith and worldview.
For religious people, marriage is a sacrament and not just a piece of paper or formality.

Let's not start the 'does God exist' thread again. Keep this so called this 'God' out of everyday issues.

This actually makes sense. It definitely is a corporate setup. Why can't the woman feel 'special' with just about any ring as long as it is from the 'hearth'? Spending $4k instead of $4 won't make you any more special to me at all. Someone needs to invest a ton of money and get rid of this monopoly on diamond mining.

Start making huge profits and be able to reduce the price of diamonds for the sake of everyone?

When ancient roman empire became wealthy their citizens became super hedonistic and gave up marriage too because everyone wanted to fuck everything so they started to have orgies and eat from golden plates and wear glamorous clothes. Meanwhile barbarians from the north and east started to collect their forces and finally raided and destroyed the roman empire or what was left of it. If you don't believe me, ask historians.  Smiley

I'm pretty sure that anything you earn from such mining will be considered a 'huge profit' compared to your current job (not you in particular). Unless you're someone who has like $20B.
