Hey guys.

I need some help with my Computer.

A friend needs help with a project so I need to mine a X11 coin for him.
I tried so much the lst 48 hours to get it to work, but it just wont work.

If someone can write a complete BAT file config for me to use, and tell me what miner to use and it works..

Then ill send 0.01 BTC as a bounty.

Card that I am using: R9 280x Windforce 3x Rev2.0.

The card cant take a full load..
So it has to be 50% power use or a little less. Its a bit damage from Scrypt mining. So yea, I do need a new one.

Thank you!

- get sgminer from http://www.filedropper.com/processing/filedownload.php?id=sgminer-51-dev-2014-mod
- get gpu-z from http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/SysInfo/GPU-Z/ - you will use it to monitor power draw
use bat file:

Quote
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

sgminer --algorithm x11mod -o stratum+tcp://stratum.x11coin:port -u user.pass -p pass -w 64 -I 18 --gpu-clock 700 --gpu-memory 1000
Obviously in stratum+tcp://stratum.x11coin:port -u user.pass -p pass you haver to enter valid pool address / user/password info
Without directly monitoring power usage its impossible to be precise but these settings --gpu-clock 700 --gpu-memory 1000 should give you less than 50% of max power draw of 280X
You can run without these swiches just to see how much power is used at default...

Wouldn't lowering intensity to 14 be a better start?

Hey, Your setup did not work.. But I made some tweaks to it and now its hashing nicely.

I want to make the stress on the card as low as possible so I dont damage it further.

it doesn't really matter, x11 doesn't stress the card at all... (and sorry to say but dead means dead usually for a card... so if it is still working, you are probably safe)
