hey there,

is there any way to hide particular forums from my view?

take the russian forum for example,
i really don't care about those, yet can't hide them in any way.
they just make the list of unread posts longer and longer and the worst thing is, that, even when i go to the russian forums and mark them all read, they still show up in the unread posts, as if i never marked them (or maybe there is a hidden russian forum, that i can't mark at all?).

I have the same feeling.

Sometimes I find out I just missed news about a new interesting project because in the posts about it got burried under a lot of other posts that personally I don't really care about.

is there a way to filter some foruns in the recent posts?

No planned patch for this feature ?

Like in the advanced search page, people can select forums to search on. It would be convenient to have the same option on the "Recent unread Topics" page.

This is easy to do; there's already an SMF mod for it. Someone just needs to install it.

if there is an SMF mod already, would someone be so kind to implement it, please?

it's getting really annoying to navigate into each and every child-forum to mark read all posts that you don't want/need to see anyway.

Especially when there are 10 new posts for every 8 you mark read.

Yes, add this please. Especially now that the number of language focused boards is increasing.

This is more important than ever, now that the forum traffic is rising faster than the difficulty or the BTC/USD exchange rate. Theymos?

Nice work. What I'd like to see next is the ability to ignore threads. Maybe people, too, though I'm not sure about that yet. Some threads keep popping to the top in a number of forums I do like to read, and I find their content... well, not of interest to myself. I'd prefer to just hide them altogether.

Selling out to advertisers shows you respect neither yourself nor the rest of us.
