It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Although I don't recognise it, I did do a quick search of the address, and I found this link over at Litecointalk.

https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=24049.0

It seems that there a people over there also trying to investigate the address. Maybe you could read over what they've said.

I myself am not too sure what exactly is happening, but it seems that the address has had a lot of transactions in high volume with large amounts of Bitcoins occurring. Of course, it's not just that, but people are suspecting it may be owned by a company (not sure what company though).

You should probably read the LCT link I posted, it has more details in there.

It's been flagged as 'suspicious' in a hacked payment database.
It would helpful to find out if it's legit or not.

Is that something like a Terrorist Screening Database? Roll Eyes

Yeah, well, I'm gonna go build my own blockchain. With blackjack and hookers! In fact forget the blockchain.

It is very rare that you will be able to connect a specific address to a specific identity (or a specific company).

I would not be surprised if the funds were eventually moved to either bitmixer or some other mixing service so anyone who you can connect to the address might not even be associated with the person who was responsible for the hack in question
